What people love about Egypt Tours in April
- 10-Day Ancient Egypt (Grand Egyptian Museum Experience)
Booked our tour at the last minute. Magdy and Walaa were very responsive and always available for questions. Michael was there in arrivals to meet us and escort us through passport control and customs and transfer us to the hotel in Cairo. Our local guides Tayeb, Ayman, Waleed, and Marwa were very good, taking the time to explain Egyptian history to us (there is so much to learn) and were always on time. Local coordinators Michael and Abdel were super professional and very kind and caring. Mohammed, our driver in Cairo was amazing. As for the tour’s sights: we were very happy we saved the Egyptian Museum until the end of our tour. This was a great way to tie everything we had learned and seen together! There were limited “shopping” opportunities (papyrus, alabaster, perfumes, jewelry) and they were truly no hassle and optional. I would make sure to add the Nubian Museum in Aswan and the Luxor Museum to your itinerary if you enjoy museums. Both are top-notch and not often visited on the tour route unless you request. 3-night Nile Cruise was on M/S Royal Esadora from Aswan to Luxor. Cabin was very nice, spacious and very clean. Staff from cabin attendants to restaurant waiters/chefs, and captain were all very professional, friendly and hospitable. Food was good. Time for relaxing on board between temple visits. Roof deck pool (too cold in December) would be great in warm weather. The pyramids are a giant tourist trap but once you get past the junk sellers and the crowds, appreciate what you are seeing and be amazed. Do go to Saqqara to see the step pyramid. Very worthwhile. We added a day trip to Alexandria which was very nice. The Library was the highlight, followed by Pompey’s Pillar. Lunch at Fish Market was of high quality and taste. Our itinerary included several lunches on day tours. In Cairo at Bonne Soirée (very clean and delicious) and in Saqqara (Pyramids Touristik Restaurant). Both were very good and nice staff, clean, and enjoyable. Make sure you visit Abu Simbel! We flew down/back from Aswan and really had a great experience. It’s a fantastic site you have to see to believe. So glad we didn’t take the bus. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with Magdy and Walaa again. Very professional, well-organized, responsive, and attentive. Their staff are excellent. If you’ve always wanted to visit Egypt, now is the time!
- Best Of Egypt - 5* Cruise
We absolutely loved our 10 day tour in Egypt with Timeless Tours (booked via expat explore UK company) We did the tour Starting in Cairo, Flew down to Aswan and the 3 night 5 star nile cruise to Luxor and 3 nights at the Red Sea in Hurghada, I would highly recommend this tour. It is very well organised, stress free. Accomodation was a bit dated but more than adequate. Loved the Nile Cruise, the boat was great and the food was delicious and healthy. The Red Sea resort was a beautiful resort and we could of stayed here so much longer! Right on the beach and a huge pool. We covered all the main sites in Egypt in such a short time, it was fantastic. Cannot recommend our guide Michael enough, he was friendly and very knowledgable. Would love to return to Egypt again and do another tour with Timeless, thank you so much!
- Agatha Christie Egypt Ultra-Luxury Journey /ABU SIMBEL& the GEM MUSUEM INCLUDED/Small Group
This trip exceeded all of my expectations, Since I was child traveling to Egypt was the top of my dreams! The itinerary was perfect and with a mix of all the elements our family wanted for getting to know Egypt! History, culture, good quality of hotels.I loved the Nile cruise , our cruise boat was perfect. All of our tour guides( especially ayman) were very knowledgeable and they knew the best places and spots to show to us, they recommended some extra activities and we really enjoyed them. The day trip to Abu Simbel was absolutely amazing! the temple was breathtaking and the entire journey there and back was very smooth. I have already recommended the Agatha Christie Egypt tour to My friends .
What our customers ask about Egypt Tours in April 2026
What is the weather like in Egypt during April?
April brings ideal conditions to Egypt with daytime temperatures ranging from 75-85°F (24-29°C). Visitors staying at the Steigenberger El Tahrir Hotel in Cairo find comfortable conditions for exploring the city's landmarks while those on Nile cruises benefit from refreshing river breezes. According to TourRadar travelers "April offers perfect weather for exploring temples and tombs without the extreme heat of summer months."
What are the most popular attractions to visit in Egypt during April?
Egypt's main sites shine in April's mild weather from the ancient Pyramids of Giza to the detailed temples of Luxor and Karnak. The Valley of the Kings welcomes visitors with clear spring conditions. One TourRadar traveler shared: "The hot air balloon ride over Luxor at sunrise was breathtaking in April's clear skies." The weather creates excellent conditions for Nile cruises especially on the popular route between Aswan and Luxor.
Are there any special events or festivals in Egypt during April?
The month often features Sham El-Nessim the historic Egyptian spring celebration that takes place the Monday after Coptic Easter. Ramadan occasionally falls in April giving visitors a window into local traditions. Film enthusiasts can attend the yearly Ismailia International Film Festival. A TourRadar traveler noted: "Experiencing Sham El-Nessim during our April tour added an amazing cultural dimension - locals celebrating in parks and along the Nile with traditional foods."
What's the experience like at the Red Sea resorts in April?
The Red Sea beckons in April with water temperatures reaching 22-24°C (72-75°F). Guests at places like the Mercure Hurghada Resort find excellent conditions for water activities. According to visitor feedback: "The water was perfect for snorkeling and the coral reefs were incredibly visible."
Is April a good time to take a Nile cruise?
The mild spring weather makes April a prime month for river cruising on the Nile. A TourRadar cruise passenger reports: "Our April cruise on the MS Nile Style was perfect - warm enough to enjoy the sundeck but not too hot for temple excursions. The evening breeze on the Nile was delightful." Most vessels travel the scenic stretch between Luxor and Aswan with stops at riverside temples.
How crowded are tourist sites in Egypt during April?
While April falls within peak season visitor numbers stay lower than winter months. Major attractions see steady traffic but smart planning helps avoid the busiest times. We recommend starting temple visits by 7am for the best experience."
