Great tour, guides, Anas & Marwa were brilliant... so much information.. Area we covered over the 10 days was amazing. We were very disappointed not to stay at the Old Cataract Hotel but understand that sometimes things do have to be rescheduled or modified. The Pyramids, temples, nile cruise, Abu Simbel, Valley of the kings, hot air balloon ride & of course The Gem we saw so much & enjoyed every part...unfortunately, the Movenpic Hotel was well below the Ultra Luxury standard, and in no way compared to what was offered at the Old Cataract. I am concerned that, from reading other previous reviews that this is a common ocurrence. Considering the value difference between these hotels, it could beg the question.

Egypt was a bucket list trip for us so we wanted to take a more upmarket tour. The tour was great. It included all the sites we wanted to see but most importantly it had incredible guides. Marwa in Cairo and Anas in Luxor to Aswan were worth every penny. They were well-educated, passionate and explained so much at every site. It was also nice to travel in a small group. We were with very nice and fun people. The small group gave us more agility around the sites than the larger tour groups. It was great that the company listened to our request and prioritized our visit to the GEM.

This is a really well paced tour with free time included and expert Egyptologists to explain the artefacts. The Nubian Village tour is really worth doing as an option. Thank you so much to Aniss, Malwa and Tony for a magical Egyptian experience.

I chose this tour because of the good reviews and was not disappointed. My guide in Cairo, Nsar, has a PhD in Egyptology and seemed to be giving me more information than the other tour guides I saw nearby. The Cairo hotel, the Omar Khayyam, was excellent. My guide for the second part of the tour, Anas, was fabulous. He was faced with a difficult situation where the other people in my group had limited English and had a tendency to wander off - but he handled it with unflappable patience, and he is also very knowledgable. The cruise ship, the Sonesta Moon Goddess, had such good food that I really looked forward to each meal. My only complaint, and it is not the tour company's fault, is that the wifi on the boat was worthless. You definitely need an eSim if internet connectivity is important to you. The one Tour radar provides works fine, but you run out of 1 GB quickly, then you have to top it off at above market rates. Get a separate eSim plan before you come. But on the whole, I would recommend this trip to anyone - it was a dream come true for me.

Accomodation good. Egyptologist guides personable & knowledgeable. Where possible, good to negotiate early starts when visit temples & tombs in Luxor as this helps avoid crowds & the heat. So we generally were at our first site by 6 am.

This tour is great for people who want an in-depth look at the great archaeological sites of Egypt on a fast paced tour! It covers a lot in a short time but there is time to relax on the Nile cruise. Hotels are good but check if you are getting the Old Cataract hotel as shown in the advert if you really want it as the alternative is the Movenpick on Elephantine Island which is a wonderful modern hotel but not the atmospheric Cataract! There was a great group of oud, drum and tambourine players outside in the evening - very skilled and friendly with only a handful of people watching. Make sure you get to the sites before 4pm when they close. We missed seeing the Nileometer. Had a lovely walk around the perimeter at dusk watching the waterbirds. The Egyptologists have such a wealth of knowledge to try and impart in a very short time. They were great! Anas made the cruise part of the trip particularly enjoyable with his calm unrushed approach. He arranged an unscheduled trip to Dendera temple which was wonderful and much appreciated. It seemed as though nothing was too much trouble for him including my constant questioning! He was also willing to get us away by 6am to see the sites before the heat and crowds. Outstanding guide! We would like to have had much more time with Marwan in Cairo as she had so much to tell us but the highlights she had time to explain were so interesting. Tony was excellent at arranging pick ups and drop offs and generally overseeing the organisation in Cairo. He tried hard to accomodate our special requests and differing needs.

We use mostly the hotels where Agatha Christie stayed during her journey to Egypt, so in cairo we use normally the Marriott omer Khayyam hotel for the first stay and for 2nd stay Marriott Mena house Pyramids hotel, in luxor winter palace luxor hotel, in Aswan old cataract Aswan hotel but this hotel could be sometime not available, so we use movenpick luxury hotel and we make a visit for the old cataract hotel and having the afternoon high tea in it.
