We went late in the season and with the Gaza conflict on we were the only two on the tour enjoying the knowledge and friendship of the guides. It was hot in Upper Egypt but tolerable and outing times were adjusted to early morning and evening. George, our guide in Lower Egypt was fantastic and his knowledge and pride in his ancestors was admirable. The accommodation was superb, although the Nile Ship was a little dated it was super comfortable and well equipped. The food was exceptional. We always felt very safe and looked after. The tour was very well-organized By the Vacations to go Travel for both ground and the Nile River cruise. Before we left for Egypt, Magdy sent us detailed itinerary helping us get ready for the tour. Once we arrived in Cairo, Michael did a great job of taking care of us at the airport and at the hotel. Our tour guides, George and Mansour, are very knowledgeable and keen to meet our needs or requests. We have learnt so much Egypt history from them. Our tour experience was fantastic and unforgettable. Giza pyramids are mighty and magnificent, and the first pyramid ever built - the step pyramid of Zoser, is equally impressive. Egypt museum Cairo is a must to go. Abu Simbel Temples are amazing and so beautiful. Kom Ombo Temple and Edfu Temple are additional nice surprises to us. The Valley of the Kings is an incredible place to see Pharaoh tombs and the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon. The Karnak Temple in Luxor is huge and beautiful. In addition, the 3-night Nile River Cruise was very nice and comfortable. The food was delicious, and the cruise staff members were very nice. Suggestions: From a value perspective, Abu Simbel should be included in the overall price of the tour. It might be worth adding an extra day to the itinerary for a second day in Hurghada. 24 hours there felt a little rushed. Food - We loved Egyptian food and would have preferred to see more of it in the food offered, particularly amongst the buffets which were overwhelmingly Western.Show more

We arrange airport transfers according to your individual arrival and departure times. At this stage, you are the only two travelers booked on the 10 November tour. While we will inform you if others join for the same dates, this tour is a guaranteed departure and will run regardless of group size.
