- Carmen· June 5th, 2025*Note this is 2nd attempt to have review for “other travelers” posted- Tour Radar appears to select only positive reviews to publish on their website* 1 Lack of Compassion- Tour booked Oct. 21 2024; devastating cancer diagnosis of member of traveling party and request for cancellation/refund made less than 90 days after, on Dec. 27, 2024 (nearly five months *before* tour date) was denied on falsehood that tours and accommodations had already been reserved & paid for; 2 Lie of “Bookings/reservations already made”….in late December 2024 3 Refusal to provide detailed/specific itinerary information prior to start of travel that included customized tour additions/upgrades- these were not provided after paid-in-full-date, not two weeks prior to travel, not even day before travel and made it difficult to make travel arrangements in a timely manner. 4 Providing full daily tour schedule only after arrival, which was inaccurate and according to Harry “not the updated schedule” 5 Unilaterally altered and/or eliminated individual tours specifically included in tour listing (IE. Aswan Dam and Edfu w/ carriage ride) and pushed “optional” tour items (IE. Luxor carriage ride) as a substitute….at an additional charge as well as pushed Nubian Village tour 6 Advised night before departure for Aswan that schedule/itinerary for next day was being dramatically altered with flight time and airline….changing airline noted in tour listing from Egypt Air to lower cost, no-name airline, Nesma Air…..presumably because air reservations were only secured within days of travel (and NOT in December 2024) 7 Entire itinerary/schedule handled with a ‘maximum flexibility/subject to change’ philosophy- every time a guest asked for a specific departure or meeting time, no exact time was given…IE. response would be ‘after breakfast,’ or ‘after lunch’, or ‘after dinner’; not “We leave at 2pm” or “We meet back up at 6pm” 8 Tour guides ended up accommodating the constant lateness of a single guest at the expense of the remaining nine guests….nearly every tour had nine guests waiting in a cafe or somewhere shady for relief from the ‘record breaking heat’ for this one guest who refused to have consideration for the nine others in the group. 9 Hot Air Balloon Sunset over Nile add-on excursion was *very poor*…..the maximum capacity balloon baskets that accommodated 32 passengers was unacceptable when the price for the tour ($125p/p) was so much higher than we would have paid had we made arrangements independently with an unaffiliated operator that doesn’t try to cram in the most number of people for the least possible cost. The balloon pilot did not rotate the basket during flight to give all passengers full photo opportunities- we had zero aerial pictures of the Valley of the Kings and Hatchepsut Temple because we faced the Nile exclusively during that part of flight time. Baskets should have a maximum capacity of half the number, 16, if not six. 10 Given BNT’s refusal to provide detailed tour/itinerary information to guests- specifically with regard to names of hotels, ships, etc., the accommodations for the Hurghada add-on were completely unacceptable. As U.S. citizens, we have *serious* issues with being booked at a so-called “all-inclusive” resort (which it most definitely is NOT) that is closely affiliated with Russian interests- from the majority of guests, to the significant contingent of Russian staff, to the extensive signage in Russian, to the 24-hour surveillance warnings. 11 The Pyramisa Sahel Hasheesh is not what it claims- unless WiFi availability limited to the lobby atrium (none in room); pool closing at 6pm; €2 for cotton candy or ‘specialty’ ice cream; €1 for a tiny box of popcorn; €50 per person for each meal (who pays €50 for breakfast??) for on-site restaurants other than the hotel buffet, is your definition of “all-inclusive”. 12 The meals/food available on both the cruise ship and Pyramisa resort were nothing to look forward to. The ‘breakfast boxes’ provided by the cruise ship were far from satisfactory, consisting primarily of no less than six bread options (three hoagie rolls, maybe a croissant, and a limp, thin square of cake (?)) from the previous days buffet trays, two bananas, a hard boiled egg and a guava juice box (yuck). Most guests gave the bulk of their bags to local kids. To be clear these issues/complaints lie squarely on Beyond the Nile Tours….NOT with tour guides. On the contrary, the tour guides were the one excellent aspect of our entire tour. They were knowledgeable, friendly, and (mostly) patient with the redundant questions from guests.Show moreTrip date: May 2025

- Patrick· May 15th, 2025Very well run, the Egyptologist was knowledgeable, the attractions were perfect, and the food and accommodation was way better than we were expecting. We would totally recommend this tour to anyone. The only thing that let it down for us was the flight from Hurghada to Cairo on our last day. Hotel checkout was 11am and the tour booked our return flight at 11pm so we were a little stranded for the day. We ended up arriving at our Cairo hotel after 130am.Show moreBeyond The Nile Tours commented on this reviewThank you for your feedback and for choosing Beyond The Nile Tours for your Egyptian journey. - JAJennifer· February 1st, 2025We loved our trip to Egypt. We did 8 days Cairo, Aswan, Luxor, Nile cruise and Hurghada. We had excellent guides and drivers and communication from them every day. There were some very early mornings and a couple of long days but we saw everything and wouldn’t change that. Accommodation and food were great. We did the optional abu simbel and hot air balloon. - JHJudit· January 14th, 2025I can highly recommend this tour for those who want to get to know the history, culture and people of Egypt. Everything went really well and was exactly as described in the programme. The organisation was great and everything ran on time as planned. We had Abdul as our guide the day in Cairo and Islam three days on the Nile cruise, both were incredibly knowledgeable and very committed. Islam welcomed us in Aswan and looked after us with patience, advice and action the whole time. He made us feel protected from the many traders who were always trying to sell us something. He was kind, great and super well organised. I was travelling with my 17-year-old daughter, who also loved the tour. It was very dense and offered great activities even if have to to get up early. But it's definitely worth it! We really enjoyed the additional offer of the Nubian village in Aswan and the balloon ride in Luxor and would highly recommend it to others. In the end, after the exhausting and unforgettable cultural programme, it was nice to spend a day on the beach in Hurghada. We should even have booked 1-2 days longer because we really liked the hotel and the beach.Show moreBeyond The Nile Tours commented on this reviewThank you for your feedback and for choosing Beyond The Nile Tours for your Egyptian journey. - Seema· December 29th, 2024I am touring Egypt with Tour Radar. Nourbelle Tours is the local company that Tour Radar used and I couldn't recommend them more highly! Our guides Tawfik and Ahmed Saladino were incredibly knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and dedicated to ensuring we had an unforgettable experience. Tawfik took us around the Pyramids of Giza, the great Sphinx, the different Pyramids and Alexandria. Tawfik was very knowledgeable about the monuments we visited, sharing detailed information about their history, including the exact years they were built. Saladino took us around the temples of Luxor, Abu Simbal , Edgu, Kom Ombo, Nubian village and Aswan. He brought ancient Egypt to life with his expert insights and stories. His passion for Egyptian history and culture was contagious, and he went above and beyond to make sure we felt safe and happy throughout our journey. I'd also like to extend my gratitude to Harry, our tour organizer, who seamlessly coordinated every aspect of our trip, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience . Overall a great experience.Show moreBeyond The Nile Tours commented on this reviewThank you for your feedback and for choosing Beyond The Nile Tours for your Egyptian journey.
