The tours, the guides and the hotels were excellent. The guides were often archaeologists who were working as guides in the tourist seasons and back exploring in winter . Reasonable fitness is required as there is quite a lot of walking. Going in to tombs requires going up and down often quite steep stairs while bent over low. Certainly doable unless you have back issues.

I have spent the last two weeks in Egypt and had a great time. The history from the Pharoes to the modern times is fascinating and the monuments they have built are amazing. The country is perfectly safe and tourists are very welcome because they bring money into the economy. All the tourist sites are well protected and the guides look after you very well, so you don't need to worry about anything. After visiting the Pyramids, The Sphinx and The Egyptian Museum, we cruised down the Nile from Luxor to Aswan. Our guide was Ashraf Roma. We were 12 people in the group and Ashraf looked after us all every day from start to finish. He previously worked on excavations and was very knowledgeable and guided us at all the sites including: Karnak Temple, Luxor Temple, Luxor city tour, Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut temple, Edfu temple, Kom Ombo, Abu Simbel and Philae temple. He took us to the best viewing points, explaining everything we saw and the history behind it. I really enjoyed it and learnt a lot about the Pharoes and Egypt. We went inside many tombs and temples and saw the wall carvings and burial chambers. The highlight was Tutenkhamun's tomb and mummy as well as Abu Simbel. Some incredible places. There were some negatives. The roads are not very good and you do get hassled by a lot of people that want to sell you things. The first price they give you is way over-inflated, so you have to haggle. But the guide told was what to expect to pay for souvenirs and helped us if we wanted to buy something. Egypt is struggling financially, so everything is quite cheap to someone from a Western country and these minor negatives are far outweighed by the amazing experience that is visiting Egypt. I would definitely recommend it and it is very safe for tourists. Everything was very well organised. Top tips: On arrival get an Egypt SIM card & some Egyptian Pounds. Going to the toilet costs 20 Egyptian Pounds. Only drink bottled water.

Had a seamless tour with great guides especially for the Nile Cruise portion with Ashraf Roma. He took great care of everything and even bought us water on the excursions (no small thing in the heat).

Dear Sir, Thank you for the opportunity to provide feedback through your survey. Overall, the trip was enjoyable, particularly the cruise portion, which I greatly appreciated. However, I would like to bring a few concerns to your attention that significantly impacted my experience: Luggage Assistance and Unofficial Fee When my luggage did not arrive on time, your representative kindly offered to assist in retrieving it once it arrived. I sincerely appreciated this gesture and expressed my thanks. However, the following day, the representative contacted me and requested a $30 service fee for this assistance. I paid the amount in cash, trusting it was an official charge. On the last day, when I requested a receipt, the manager informed me he was unaware of any such charge and stated that no receipt could be issued. He suggested the $30 may have been a personal tip requested by the representative, for which the company takes no responsibility. This left me feeling misled and uncomfortable, and I believe that I should be reimbursed for that charge. Missed Visit to the Grand Egyptian Museum According to the itinerary, the final day of the group tour was to include visits to the Grand Egyptian Museum, Saqqara, and the Step Pyramids. I was especially looking forward to the Grand Egyptian Museum. However, after visiting Saqqara and the Step Pyramids, I was returned to the hotel. When I asked about the museum visit, I was told it is currently closed and will not open until November. Unfortunately, no alternative site was offered to compensate for this change, despite the fact that I had already paid $165 upfront, which included the museum’s entry fee. I kindly request a refund of the portion of the payment that was allocated for the Grand Egyptian Museum, as the visit did not take place. Disappointing Experience During Alexandria Day Tour I also booked an additional day tour to Alexandria. Unfortunately, it rained heavily during the visit to the Roman Theatre, and we were caught in the downpour without any warning or preparation. When I asked the tour guide whether he had checked the weather forecast, he acknowledged that he had but stated that informing guests about the rain was not his responsibility—it was his boss’s. He further told me not to question him and that any complaints should be directed to his manager. His attitude was dismissive and unprofessional, and not what I would expect from a tour guide. This lack of basic courtesy and preparedness significantly affected my experience. I am sharing this feedback not only to request reimbursement where appropriate, but also in the hope that steps can be taken to improve services for future travelers. Thank you for your kind attention to these matters. I look forward to your response and resolution. Sincerely, Yi Knight

Wonderful tour of Egypt, it way exceeded our expectations. The tour was very well planned and organised. Our tour guides were outstanding,, Abdo in Cairo and Ashraf on the Nile cruise itinerary with Luxor, Edfu and Aswan. We spent time in amazing places. The Nile cruise boat was spotlessly clean with superb food. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone.

Perfectly scheduled tour and operating well, absolutely not a second lost. Everyone was friendly and reachable at any time. Times for the visits and also to enjoy the accomodations alternate swiftly but smoothly. In a personal consideration, I want to say the guides were beyond my expectations. Thank you.

We had an amazing trip with amazing guides and a really fun group of people. Highlights were the hot air balloon ride and the Nubian Village. There are lots of early wake ups but they’re interspersed with later ones and once you get to the cruise you get plenty of down time most days to have a rest on the boat and enjoy the facilities. I wouldn’t pay to add on the Abu Simbel temple again as it’s 7 hours driving, 3:30am wake up and $100usd per person just to see another temple, the exterior is impressive but for the lay person the temples themselves aren’t any more interesting than the others you’ve already seen. We definitely got temple fatigue and would’ve preferred to have a slow start to the day with a swim on board the boat, saving us $100 per person.

Our guide Ashraf met us in Luxor and immediately started what would be 5 incredible days. Ashraf who is native of Luxor was incredibly knowledgeable about the local history and culture, making the historical sites come alive. When not showing us around he was engaging and helpful he made sure we were dydrated (temperature was in high 30’s) he also found shade for us for our history lessons and generally took care of us. Ashraf also gave us tips on how to do things whilst we were on tour which was invaluable.

Please tell me about the quality of the accommodation. Are entrance fees included? If not, are credit cards accepted at those places? Will I have time to convert Australian dollars to local currency? Or is it better to bring US dollars?
