- Day 1
Arrival in Cairo
You'll arrive at Cairo International Airport where someone from the tour will meet you and take you to your hotel. This is when you'll settle in and get oriented to the city.

- Day 2
Giza and Grand Egyptian Museum
Start by heading to the Great Pyramids of Giza to see the pyramids of Cheops, Chefren, and Mykerinus along with the Sphinx and Valley Temple. After that, you'll check out the Grand Egyptian Museum where you can walk through 5,000 years of Ancient Egyptian history, including the Statue of King Ramses II and other royal pieces.

- Day 3
Flight to Luxor and Nile Cruise Embarkation
You'll catch an early flight to Luxor and board your 5-star Nile cruise ship. From there, head to Karnak to see the Great Hypostyle Hall with its tall columns and granite statues of Ramses II, then walk through the Obelisks of Queen Hatshepsut and Tuthmosis III. Later, spend time at the open-air temple complex of Amun and the lit-up Luxor Temple with its tall columns and colossal statues.

- Day 4
Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut's Temple, and Colossi of Memnon
Walk through the Valley of the Kings to see its detailed tombs and burial chambers that show what pharaohs believed about the afterlife. Stop at Hatshepsut's Mortuary Temple at Deir el Bahari, which is cut right into the cliff face, and see the Colossi of Memnon, two large statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III. You'll head back to the ship for dinner as it sails toward Edfu.

- Day 5
Edfu Temple and Kom Ombo
In the morning, check out Edfu Temple, one of Egypt's well-preserved temples built for the falcon god Horus, then head back to the ship for lunch. Later sail toward Kom Ombo to see the twin temples for the crocodile god Sobek and the falcon god Horus. You'll return to the ship for dinner and spend the night there.

- Day 6
Abu Simbel and Nubian Village (Optional)
This day is flexible for optional activities. You can take an early morning tour to Abu Simbel temples, the sanctuaries built for Ramses II and Queen Nefertari near the Sudanese border that were moved in 1968 to avoid being flooded by Lake Nasser. There's also an optional afternoon trip to a Nubian Village if that interests you. Either way, you'll be back at the ship before dinner.

- Day 7
Aswan, Philae Temple, and High Dam
After breakfast you'll leave the cruise ship and walk around Philae Temple on Agilkia Island, an old site for the goddess Isis that was relocated in the 1960s when they built the Aswan Dam. Stop by the High Dam itself, built between 1960 and 1970 for hydroelectric power and flood control. Then you'll get a ride to Aswan International Airport for your evening flight back to Cairo, where you'll spend the night.

- Day 8
Saqqara, Dahshur Necropolises, and Local Cuisine
Start at the Saqqara Necropolis and see the Step Pyramid of Djoser from the 27th century BC, which became a World Heritage Site in 1979. Then check out the Pyramid of Teti and its several structures. You'll grab lunch at a local restaurant to try real Egyptian food. After that, head southwest to Dahshur Necropolis to see the Bent Pyramid and Red Pyramid, both built by Sneferu. You'll get back to your Cairo or Giza hotel by evening.
