What people love about Egypt Tours in March
- 10-Day Ancient Egypt (Grand Egyptian Museum Experience)
Booked our tour at the last minute. Magdy and Walaa were very responsive and always available for questions. Michael was there in arrivals to meet us and escort us through passport control and customs and transfer us to the hotel in Cairo. Our local guides Tayeb, Ayman, Waleed, and Marwa were very good, taking the time to explain Egyptian history to us (there is so much to learn) and were always on time. Local coordinators Michael and Abdel were super professional and very kind and caring. Mohammed, our driver in Cairo was amazing. As for the tour’s sights: we were very happy we saved the Egyptian Museum until the end of our tour. This was a great way to tie everything we had learned and seen together! There were limited “shopping” opportunities (papyrus, alabaster, perfumes, jewelry) and they were truly no hassle and optional. I would make sure to add the Nubian Museum in Aswan and the Luxor Museum to your itinerary if you enjoy museums. Both are top-notch and not often visited on the tour route unless you request. 3-night Nile Cruise was on M/S Royal Esadora from Aswan to Luxor. Cabin was very nice, spacious and very clean. Staff from cabin attendants to restaurant waiters/chefs, and captain were all very professional, friendly and hospitable. Food was good. Time for relaxing on board between temple visits. Roof deck pool (too cold in December) would be great in warm weather. The pyramids are a giant tourist trap but once you get past the junk sellers and the crowds, appreciate what you are seeing and be amazed. Do go to Saqqara to see the step pyramid. Very worthwhile. We added a day trip to Alexandria which was very nice. The Library was the highlight, followed by Pompey’s Pillar. Lunch at Fish Market was of high quality and taste. Our itinerary included several lunches on day tours. In Cairo at Bonne Soirée (very clean and delicious) and in Saqqara (Pyramids Touristik Restaurant). Both were very good and nice staff, clean, and enjoyable. Make sure you visit Abu Simbel! We flew down/back from Aswan and really had a great experience. It’s a fantastic site you have to see to believe. So glad we didn’t take the bus. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with Magdy and Walaa again. Very professional, well-organized, responsive, and attentive. Their staff are excellent. If you’ve always wanted to visit Egypt, now is the time!
- Best Of Egypt - 5* Cruise
I had the most wonderful time. Michael was the perfect guide/host. He is so knowledgeable, personable, organized and otherwise delightful to be around. I have recommended him and Timeless Egypt to everyone who will listen.
- Agatha Christie Egypt Ultra-Luxury Journey /ABU SIMBEL& the GEM MUSUEM INCLUDED/Small Group
Wow , Agatha Christie Egypt tour is the best tour I ever made ! It covered almost all the Egyptian highlights, the whole tour was arranged as a small group,we were 5 people, Everything was perfect I was just taken away with the beauty of the Nile Dahabiya from Luxor to aswan (traditional luxury sailing boat)it is very luxurious and private only for our small group, The whole tour itinerary was really wonderful and we loved seeing the beautiful cities along the Nile River, The breathtaking views of the Nile River were absolutely mesmerizing. Sailing peacefully along the river, we had the opportunity to witness the stunning landscapes, ancient temples, and charming villages that line its banks, the onboard amenities were top-notch. We have been upgraded to suite cabin on the Dahabiya boat which was spacious and well-appointed, offering a cozy retreat after a day filled with exploration. The meals served onboard were delectable, with a wide variety of both local and international dishes to satisfy every palate. The knowledgeable guide ayman during the adventure provided fascinating insights into the history and culture of Egypt, making the journey not only visually stunning but also intellectually enriching. One of the highlights of our trip was Abu simbel tour, Exploring the ancient temple of Abu Simbel was like stepping back in time especially no other travellers were in the temple except us . Just an amazing trip of a lifetime. I would go back in a heartbeat.

What is the weather like in Egypt during March?
Egypt's weather in March provides comfortable conditions for exploring with daytime temperatures in Cairo ranging from 20-25°C (68-77°F) according to the Steigenberger El Tahrir Hotel. The mild climate makes both city walks and desert excursions pleasant especially during morning hours. These conditions are particularly good for visiting outdoor archaeological sites and spending time on Nile cruise decks.
What are the best sites to visit in Egypt during March?
The temperate March weather creates good conditions for exploring Egypt's main archaeological treasures including the Pyramids of Giza Karnak Temple and the Valley of the Kings. March brings peak season crowds to Egypt's main attractions but visitor numbers remain manageable. A recent visitor shared: "Our guide Mansour arranged our Luxor Temple visit for early morning in March which meant fewer tourists and better photo opportunities."
What should I pack for Egypt in March?
The variable March temperatures call for versatile clothing options. Pack light layers including jackets for cool mornings and evenings especially for Nile cruise activities. MS Sonesta Moon cruise staff recommend bringing comfortable walking shoes sun protection and modest clothing for temple visits. A TourRadar guest noted "March evenings on the Nile required a light jacket but days were perfect in light clothing."
