The bus to Hurghada was not too bad just long. We opted to fly back to Cairo. The Tourrardar team was great when changes were made at the last minute.Show more

We had a few changes in schedule/itinerary that generally made the overall experience much better and I think these should be incorporated into the tour. These were to not take the train Cairo to Aswan and fly instead, and a private bus to Hurghada was preferable. I think that offering a flight to Abu Simbel would have been a MUCH preferred option to 10 hours in a bus. We only had an hour at the temple which was disappointing. We took our 5 year old along with us and we're really well looked after giving us flexibility where needed while experiencing all the great sights and experiences. Would definetly recommend both Holiday in Egypt and Tour Radar as easy communication with somebody always there to meet us at the next stop and a few contacts to reach out to if needed. It was a great price for what was included with nice hotels, a lovely cruise boat and crew and resort. The train trip from Cairo to Aswan was certainly an experience with a very old train but we were warned by the tour company and had the opportunity to upgrade for a flight for very cheap but we were keen for the full Egypt experience and with an open mind for travelling really enjoyed it. Thanks to all the guides and behind the scenes organisers. Both Sohaila and Hassan are excellent guides and Egyptologists. We learned so much about the fascinating history of ancient Egypt from them. The accommodation on the cruise was great. The sleeper train was very old so we recommend the flight upgrade if you prefer comfort over adventure. They both gave us so much information, incredible what they know about Ancient Egypt. And Hassan made it funny with his jokes 😂 The only downsize were the early mornings and all the stops in the shops (a shop with papyrus, one with cotton/t-shirts, one with oils and parfumes and one with alabaster), me and my husband didn’t like it. If you skip the shops, maybe you can leave a little bit later in the morning? Usually, the bust leaves Hurghada at 10 AM and arrives in Cairo around 5 PM. The drive between the two cities takes about 7 hours. However, there's a flight upgrade option available that can save you all this time. You can probably spend the time you save in Hurghada until the afternoon. Since you take the bus to Cairo and then directly to the airport, there aren't any refreshment areas in between. You can pay for the optional excursions while you're here, and there are no problems with that.

Sure, you can add pre or post tour accommodation and do optional activities on any free day. Alexandria tour starts at 7:30 AM and concluding around 6:30 PM. You will discover the city's historic attractions, including the Roman Theater, Fort of Qaitbay, and either the Catacombs or Alexandria Library. Cost is US $180 for one person on a private tour including Entrance fees to three attractions, lunch, air-conditioned vehicle, and an English-speaking tour guide.
