From the moment we arrived in Egypt we were taken to a very luxuriousl hotel where we could rest and swim. The next day we experienced the splendour of the pyramids and egyptian museum guided by a friendly lady who was very knowledgeable and treated t a uniquely Egyptian lunch. After a sleeper train ride from cairo to Aswan. There we met our constant companion guide Achmet Kassem who took care of our every need. He was an incredible guide with vast knowledge and attending to our every need whilst travelling with us from Aswan to Luxor on the Nile cruise which was an incredible experience. Achmet explained the various temples and its history to us. He is an incredible guide combining knowledge and individual attention and csre. The food on the cruise and at the fantastic resort in Hurghada was beyond expectation. Organisation of the tour was flawless and smooth. Chris· July 22nd, 2025Not a relaxing tour but fantastic for those who love adventure, information, history and visiting the places you normally only see on tv. I travelled with my wife and two children aged 17 and 14 and we all got something from this trip and for those worried about conflicts in the Middle East we saw and heard nothing about them and felt very safe and secure on this whole trip. Very warm in July, we got up to about 43 degrees Celsius on the cruise but the advantages are less queues for the attractions. Our two guides, Sohaila in Cairo and Ahmed for the cruise, were extremely knowledgeable and enjoyable to listen to. Definitely would recommend this trip. Only side notes are the attractions aren’t covered in the price of the holiday and are settled when you arrive at the first hotel, tips are paid in advance for the whole trip but everyone still expects you to pay at the time too so you have to either be hard or give a bit more each time, and I would recommend upgrading to flights from Cairo to Aswan instead of the train as we were told the train can often be delayed and take up to 17 hours with no Wi-Fi or anything to entertain you and also upgrade to a flight at the end from Hurghada to Cairo. We had a miscommunication and thought the bus trip from Hurghada to Cairo was about 5 hours but it is actual more like 9-10 hours from hotel to airport. This was a trip of a lifetime for me and if you are considering Egypt this is the one. Looking back at the photos seems like a dream. The whole process was seamless thanks to the staff of Holiday in Egypt. The guide in Cairo (sue) was so knowledgeable and went beyond my expectations. My main guide for most of my trip was Tamer Mahmoud . Spending time with him learning about Egypt was like visiting with a wise uncle who wanted to share his culture and knowledge. Both guides and the organizer of the trip were very responsive at all times during the trip via what’s app and in person. I looked at several tour operators before choosing this one. Trip date: July 2025 - JHJanine· July 13th, 2025We had 2 guides as part of this tour - Sohaila in Cairo and Tamer for the cruise component (we have reviewed Tamer separately, and equally excellent). The day with Sohaila in Cairo was amazing. Pre-tour communication was clear and timely. We experienced the Great Pyramids, a camel ride and explored inside a pyramid, Sphynx and Cairo Museum and a unique Egyptian lunch. Sohaila was excellent. Her knowledge was incredible and she was only too happy to answer any questions on any topic, including history (of course), religion, life in Cairo, education, so far unanswered questions and everything in between. She tailored the day to suit us, allowing as much or as little time as we wanted in any location, as well as explained additional opportunities and organised additional tickets, etc. She was fun, engaging and ensured our experience was her priority. Our driver was also excellent – navigating crazy traffic to always be at the meeting spot with the air conditioner running! But pick ups and drop offs was the worse I encountered some pick ups never happened had to find our way at our cost and drop offs were late by hours one excursion was changed due to 4 hours delay, was a mess. Hotel in Cairo will be close to pyramids but not with direct view. Cruise cabin location is subject to availability. Pyramid plateau entrance is 125 USD, going inside Khufu Pyramid is 30 USD per person. Feel free to bring photo camera and lenses, with some restrictions inside tombs or museums.

Asked on September 14th, 2025Do you have the Immortal Egypt or similar tour available departing 23 October? What does the $125 per person for sightseeing include? Is Abu Simbel included in that price? What is the board basis for the hotel in Hurghada - is it all inclusive? If not, is it possible to add all inclusive? We don't need a transfer back to Cairo at the end of the tour but we need to get to Cairo from Hurghada at the start of the tour on 23 October. Can we use the included transfer then?

We currently have availability for the departures on 20 October and 22 October. The amount of USD 125 per person covers the entrance fees for all sightseeing included in the main itinerary. Abu Simbel tour is an optional excursion and can be booked either in advance or upon arrival. The cost is USD 125 per person, and it is separate from the main package. Your stay in Hurghada will be at a resort on an all-inclusive basis. The most convenient option is to begin the tour in Cairo as scheduled, then enjoy the last three nights at the Hurghada resort.

A professional Egyptologist guide will accompany you for sightseeing, and our local team will also support you during transfers and on the cruise. Most meals are included (mainly on the Nile Cruise and some in Cairo/Luxor/Aswan). The main additional costs to consider are entrance fees (125 USD per person for all sightseeing) and tipping (8 USD per person per day). These can be paid in cash, card, or online. Optional tours and personal expenses are not included. Yes, the costs you see for the trip are final unless you choose any optional upgrades (like a flight upgrade instead of the train or extra tours).

Asked on August 11th, 2025My husband wants to know whether this tour has too much walking for a 71 years old who has to walk extremely slowly and needs a walking stick to help him balance himself because he had a stroke 8 years ago. Are the walks rough because one of his legs is weaker due to his stroke.

Your husband will have the option to stop and rest on the benches scattered throughout the sightseeing areas whenever he feels tired. It's entirely up to him whether he wishes to walk and explore the temples or simply rest as needed. We often have participants of a similar age to your husband on our tours, and our guides are experienced professionals who know how to accommodate everyone's needs. Some sites, such as the tombs in the Valley of the Kings, can be a bit challenging to explore as they are carved inside the mountains and involve stairs for ascending or descending. In such cases, the guide will explain each site to your husband first so he can decide whether or not to enter. In all situations, we will take care of your husband and make sure he enjoys his time in Egypt.
