- SDSherry· May 15th, 2025Timeless Tours was amazing! Our tour guide, Mena, did a great job and was super knowledgeable and helpful with all aspects of the tour. When researching different tours I found Timeless Tours to be fast at responding, but not pushy. They provided fully transparent and detailed information quickly and seemed to really care about making us happy. Will recommend to anyone who is looking to book a tour.Show moreTrip date: April 2025

- sveva· May 2nd, 2025Automatic translation available in English. View in Englishwas a very intense and fascinating tour, the guide Tiger was dedicated and explained in a passionate way, occasionally a little stressed but generally nice. Abu Simbel temple very nice but there are 4 hours to go and 4 to come back and only an hour to visit, with the heat and so many tourists I don't know how much it was worth it... all the rest very recommended, definitely to be done in a cool season avoiding the heat, already April is borderline.Show moreTrip date: April 2025
- KWKevin· April 25th, 2025Our tour was absolutely fantastic. Ash our guide was absolutely wonderful. Knowledgeable, patient and kind. Great local insights. Have already recommended to friends. All of the accommodations were great. Tam our driver was awesome. Romany was great handling accommodations. All around great staff. The only wrinkle we had was our driver dropped us off at the wrong terminal at Cairo Airport after the tour ended. Inconsequential and a minor inconvenience. Does not change our overall opinion of our experience. Thank You Timeless for an amazing trip. We will never forget it.Show moreTrip date: April 2025
- Toby· April 23rd, 2025We couldn’t have asked for a better tour guide. Ramez was super knowledgeable about ancient Egypt (and Egypt in general), and was by far the best guide we’ve ever had. He regularly went above and beyond to help people on our tour with things outside of the tour and made sure everyone had the best trip possible.Show moreTrip date: April 2025
- KCKaren· April 23rd, 2025This was a fantastic tour and most definitely value for money. Our guide, Nabil Shohdy, aka Tiger, was friendly, experienced, informative and professional. He made sure we had the most amazing experiences on our tour. He was always happy to help. The hotels and Nile cruise ship we stayed in were great - clean, comfortable, friendly and helpful staff, good food - nobody was going hungry- and catered for dietary requirements. They even made me a personalised birthday cake - yum!! There were some early starts on this tour, but necessary and definitely worth it. The itinerary was jam packed full but still time to take in the wonders and awe of the sights around us. We had opportunities to learn about Egyptian perfumes, papyrus making and alabaster which were really interesting - especially learning to haggle! Overall, we all had an amazing trip. Thank you, Tiger!Show moreTrip date: March 2025
- SLSarah· April 12th, 2025Overall, it was ok. There were some hits and some misses. I’ll start with the great - the cruise on the Nile was absolutely fabulous! The rooms were very comfortable and a good size, especially for a boat. Food was great and above all, service on the boat was exceptional! The cruise was the highlight of the trip! And that’s about all the compliment my good conscience will allow me to lavish on this trip. The mediocre - the Jaz Pyramid Hotel in Cairo where we stayed for a night each on the first and last night of the tour. There was general apathy among the staff which was evident in their service levels, although I will say that the service had improved noticeably the second time we stayed there... probably because of a guest complaint! Guest rooms were standard fare - average size, adequately furnished, beds were comfortable. Food here was pretty good. The breakfast and dinner buffets were probably the best of all the places we stayed at on this tour. They just need to work on providing a good and consistent standard of service. And finally, the downright awful and utterly pointless leg of the tour that we could honestly have all done without was Hurghada. In particular, the Gravity Hotel & Aqua Park Sahl Hasheesh was/is a hellhole! The property claims to be a 5-star… in reality, it’s anything but! Gravity is an all-inclusive, full board resort with a slew of activities, entertainment and dining options to choose from on its massive property. But don’t be fooled by the superficial grandeur of this place. The initial allure of its opulence is very quickly replaced by repugnance and horror the moment you dine at one of the restaurants or are served by their staff. Food is plentiful but they are of inferior quality and unpalatable (a couple of people in our tour group fell ill after consuming their food!), alcoholic drinks are watered down, the WiFi sucked, and what tanked it all for me was the service - staff are surly, abusive, rude and belligerent! - I had never felt so vilified up till then! Which is a shame really, because the property sits on a stunning piece of real estate on the western seaboard of the Red Sea. For a country where “tipping is a way of life” (you will hear the tour guides repeat this often!), it’s baffling to me that the concept of earning your tips escapes them. I blame this on the tour companies. They collect a single fixed lump sum amount from every traveller at the start of the tour which goes towards tipping at every property you visit/stay at throughout the trip..... (which is fine, now don't get me wrong, I'm all for tipping — and I do, generously in fact — when the service commensurates.) The tour company pays each property a fixed lump-sum of tips upon check-in which goes towards tipping everyone on the hotel’s payroll for the duration of your stay. Meaning, the staff don't get tipped more or less for good or bad service, and therein i think lies the problem. There is no motivation whatsoever to provide good/better service because it doesn’t change the outcome of the tips they earn... perhaps if the tour company tipped at the end of our stay on check-out depending on guest feedback, we might have had better service. Note to Timeless Tours: something for you to think about! Also, upon check-in at Gravity, i was assigned possibly the worst suite in the dingiest wing of the hotel! It was a suite but it was dreadful - there were cracks in the plaster ceiling throughout the entire wing, the building itself was dark, dingy and deserted, the coffee maker didn’t have a socket nearby for me to even use it without having to move the whole coffee maker, there were loose electrical wires hanging from the ceiling that led to nowhere or to lights that didn’t work, the furniture was ill-fitting - they half-covered the light switches on the walls! The bed was hard and the deal breaker for me was when the shower stall flooded over. It was already past midnight at this point, so i waited till the morning to request a room change. When i messaged the tour guide/leader, his response to me was quite simply to go to the reception myself and request for the change! This did NOT land well with me at all because i fully expected him to do it - it was his job after all. He must have sensed from my non-response, and grew a conscience i guess, because his message to me some time later was that he was coming over with the keys to my new room… but too little too late, i had already decided by then that i was going to dock his tips. I still tipped him, but a lot less than i had initially planned to. That said, i must say that Timeless Tours excels in keeping you informed. Communication was good before and during the tour, even if they sometimes fell short of interpreting your data correctly (they got my departure time wrong, twice, even though i never once changed my flight throughout the entire tour and even confirmed it on a printed sheet they had. Go figure!) Separately, and nothing to do with the tour company, the majority of merchants, touts, taxi drivers and even Uber drivers in Egypt can be pushy and aggresive, some are even bullies. Uber drivers will for example haggle price with you (they will not adhere to the price listed on the app) and if you do not agree to their asking price, they will cancel the trip. You will go through a few cancellations before you land on one honest driver who will take you at the Uber-listed price… for those, i tipped handsomely. But don’t let this deter you. Egypt actually has a lot to offer and some really beautiful sights to visit. Just know what to expect and plan for.Show moreTrip date: February 2025

- CCarl· April 4th, 2025Amjad could not have been a better guide for our 10 days in Egypt. He was extremely knowledgeable, attentive, fun, welcoming and just an all round great guy. We have had the best time! Everything on the tour was very organised and Amjad would always go out of his way to make sure everyone in the group was okay and enjoying themselves, he was very supportive of those in the group also who may have different medical needs and did everything he could to help. We would 100% recommend Amjad and Timeless Tours again!Show moreTrip date: March 2025

Asked on April 28th, 2025would I be traveling solo if I used the train to/From Cairo? Is it safe for a single elderly lady to travel alone on the train?
- Timeless Tours Operator•Written April 2025
In case you would opt for the sleeper train upgrade, there would be a tour guide traveling with you on the train. Uou won't be traveling alone. However, I highly recommend you to opt for the domestic flight instead. Hence, the sleeper train isn't that comfy.
