This was our first time on a round trip with a guide. The 10-day trip through Tasmania was perfect for us to get to know the country. As Germans, we were very impressed with the English language of the guide Keygan, as we were able to understand almost all the explanations very well. Keygan told us many stories and background information about Tasmania and its colonial history with a lot of humour. The mixed travelling group of about 27-75 years with participants from U.S., AUS, England, New Zealand, Switzerland, and Germany was well looked after by Keygan as a herding dog. I can only recommend it. Translated with DeepL.com (free version)

Having traveled to 50+ countries now, this tour was one of the most epic trips I've ever done. In fact, the dive and snorkeling day trip was one of the most awe-inspiring experiences of my life. Besides that though, the tour was a great mix of interesting excursions, like K'Gari and the Whitsundays, to epic coastal regions and beach towns like Byron Bay, an incredible visit to the Daintree Rainforest, and incredibly insightful and enriching visits with First Nations and aboriginal groups. The tour guides, Jason and Justin, were absolutely TOP!!! Looked after the group and filled us in on Australian history along the way. On one of the longer drive days, Justin had even organized a fun group trivia session which helped break up the drive. The hotels and holiday apartments were all comfortable and in-line with expectations - not 5* luxury but all well-appointed, clean, and local boutique style accommodations - some even had free laundry facilities which was a HUGE PLUS. Overall, I would highly recommend this trip!!

I took a 6-day wilderness tour with a guide in Tasmania and I must say that it was one of the unforgettable experiences of my life. An excellently chosen route that provided activities of various types and levels, an excellent guide Brandon, who was able to accurately assess moods and levels of fatigue. Moreover, he was extremely pleasant and funny, always smiling. And last but not least, I was lucky to have people in the group who, although they were of different ages and nationalities, always helped me and created a close, almost family atmosphere. I was really sad when the trip ended. Tasmania is such a beautiful country, but we should always be respectful of its culture.

What type of accommodations can I expect on fully guided tours in Australia?

A TourRadar traveler noted about one tour: "The accommodation was excellent throughout from city hotels to outback resorts."

Australia's diverse climate means each region has specific prime visiting periods. The Kimberley is best explored during dry season (May-September) while Tasmania welcomes visitors year-round with summer (December-February) being most popular.
