- Lynn· April 25th, 2025We had an amazing tour with our amazing guide, Tim. We did the 10-day comfort tour and visited some truly amazing places in Tasmania. It is hard to pick a favorite spot because everything was so beautiful. But perhaps my favorite day was Cradle Mountain, where we saw wild wombats (and more amazing scenery. The weather was gorgeous, and everyone on our tour was so friendly. The bus rides weren't too long, and we always had a chance to get out and stretch our legs or use the restroom. The accommodations were decent, breakfasts were okay, but there was usually a cafe nearby where one could get a sausage roll and coffee (or second breakfast). Highly recommend.Show moreUnder Down Under Tours commented on this reviewThank you Lynn, this is great to read and we're very appreciative of this review so that others may know about our tours. We're grateful for your recommendation!Trip date: March 2025
- AAbel· April 8th, 2025We had a good reason to do something very special to celebrate our 42nd weeding anniversary. Before going to Tasmania, we did make a deep research among the different agencies providing different guided tours there. We took the Ultimate Tasmania 10 day tour with Under Down Under, a local travel agency, starting on March 31st and ending on April 10th, 2025 Definitely one of the best investments we have made in terms of traveling. The experience and the vision of Down Under Down in designing the route is amazing. It was basically a non stop enjoyment experience, organized in such a way to optimize the time and locations each and every day. Our guide, Tim Keith, with his great service attitude, his expertise and his constantly shared wide knowledge was for sure the most valued characteristic of our experience. As a resume, due to the quality of this trip with Under Down Under, we end up with a very enjoyable experience and a very valued knowledge of the history, culture and very interesting sites of this dramatic and beautiful corner of the world, plenty of stunning landscapes, great food and great walks as well. Thank you very much Tim ! Thanks Under Down Under ! We value you and will widely recommend you with friends and family ! We'll pass on this message to Tim. Thanks again, and all the best.Trip date: April 2025
- AVAnnemie· February 28th, 2025A comfortable tour, where you get as many impressions of Tasmania as possible. The stays in the various hotels are well arranged. The tour leader also wants to meet all your wishes as much as possible and for that he will add something extra in the evening or in the morning, where he will guide you himself. During our tour for example attending a beautiful sunrise and on an evening in Hobart looking for the platypus. He guided all excursions and hikes and always knew how to indicate alternatives.Show moreUnder Down Under Tours commented on this reviewThank you Annemie for your kind words. - BSBach,· October 23rd, 2024Automatic translation available in English. View in EnglishIt was a great route with lots of stops, unfortunately sometimes too little time to explore. Great guide, all categories of accommodation, a super program.Show moreUnder Down Under Tours commented on this reviewThank you very much Silke! Tasmania has so many great places to explore. Maybe we need an even longer tour :)Trip date: September 2024
- RKRachel· October 10th, 2024Great guide with thorough knowledge of the places we visited. Some days the itinerary had many stops and that meant we had a lot of driving to do it all. One suggestion to consider would be to cut back on some of the stops on the really long days. Campbell was professional, personable, fun and an excellent leader and facilitator on this ten day trip. We would recommend this tour and Campbell to anyone considering an extensive tour of Tasmania.Show moreUnder Down Under Tours commented on this reviewThank you Rachel. We value the feedback. Creating the itinerary is a wonderful challenge of showcasing the diversity of Tasmania and using stops to break-up longer trips and see / do more while keeping in mind the comfort of each guest. Asked on November 8th, 2024Are there opportunities to see the Southern Lights on this tour?
- Under Down Under ToursOperator•Written November 2024
The best time to see the Aurora Australis (Southern Lights) in Tasmania is during the winter months from May to September, when the nights are longer and darker. However, the aurora can occur year-round, and there have been sightings in autumn and spring as well. The key factors for spotting the aurora are clear, dark skies and minimal light pollution. New moon phases and nights with little cloud cover offer the best opportunities for viewing. While we have had guests see an aurora while on tour with us, it is not something that we can guarantee.

- Under Down Under ToursOperator•Written November 2024
Unfortunately we don't match up solo travellers into a twin room so you would need to choose the single option. We do have another tour which is our Super 7 Tour that we have hostel options available.
