What our customers ask about this tour
The content in our FAQ section is subject to change.- D
Darren
Asked on April 20th, 2025Could I ask what the weather may be like this time of year for packing purposes.
- INTRO TravelOperator•Written April 2025
It's always a good time to go backpacking in Australia! It's generally quite hot in most parts of the country for the majority of the year except for the southern half of Australia during winter (June, July & August). But because Australia is such a big country when it's cold down south most people will head north and follow the sun! May is the end of autumn in Australia, and that means cooler temperatures in some places but still an excellent time to travel!

Asked on April 17th, 2025Interested in tour information
- INTRO TravelOperator•Written April 2025
Our Oz Intro 10 day tour is the best of Sydney to Brisbane and the perfect start to your Aussie adventure. It's got loads of included experiences like the famous Sydney harbour and Bondi beach, learning to surf in Byron bay, spotting wildlife on a SUP tour of Surfers paradise and more. Plus you'll stay in some great accommodation with an instant group of friends and an awesome group leader to take care of everything.

Asked on January 13th, 2025I was wondering if, if I arrive a day before the tour starts, will there be any assistance with overnight accommodations?
- INTRO TravelOperator•Written January 2025
Yes of course! If you arrive a day before your trip begins, we can help you get booked in for an extra night at the hostel in Sydney.

Rhonda
Asked on October 28th, 2024How strict is the age range? I'm 45 but this tour sounds perfect for my needs as a solo traveller.
- INTRO TravelOperator•Written October 2024
Unfortunately the hostels we stay at in Australia do not accept anyone over the age of 39, so we wouldn't be able to book you onto a tour there.
- R
Renee
Asked on October 11th, 2024How many people have already booked this tour?
- INTRO TravelOperator•Written October 2024
We have 14 people in the group so far, so you'd be our lucky number 15!
- R
Renee
Traveler•Written October 2024Will the price still be the same by then?
- INTRO TravelOperator•Written October 2024
Yes, the price will remain the same

Renee
Traveler•Written October 2024Can I manage that during this trip? I have a carry on luggage and a 20kg suitcase because I've been travelling in New Zealand.
- INTRO TravelOperator•Written October 2024
It is completely up to you! You will be fine to travel with a suitcase or backpack. It is easier with a backpack/holdall style instead of a suitcase. But it's not necessary, we have people bring suitcases all the time. But we recommend packing light 20kgs of stuff should be plenty.

Asked on September 15th, 2024In what accommodations do I sleep on the trip "Oz kennenlernen"? Are the rooms separated by gender?
- INTRO TravelOperator•Written September 2024
The dorm rooms are mixed gender, we cannot guarantee that there will be just one gender in each room. This will depend on whether there are couples and mixed gender friends travelling together who wish to share rooms.

Gregory
Asked on August 18th, 2024Do you provide the tour? Can you provide private tour custom itinerary? We plan to travel to Sydney, Melbourne, cairns, uluru.
- INTRO TravelOperator•Written August 2024
We don't offer bespoke tours but we do run trips on the East Coast of Australia, from Sydney up until Cairns. The majority of the accommodation is in multi share dorm rooms in hostels for our Australia trips. The only time we don't operate any of our tours is between Christmas and New Year. We have our first trip starting again on 8th January 2025.

Asked on July 29th, 2024How full is your 07/08 tour and also your 14/08 tour? What time do you do the transfer from the airport on the 7th? What is the final date when the tour ends, I assume the 16th? Do you have any discounts for 07/08 as its quite last minute?
- INTRO TravelOperator•Written July 2024
The airport shuttle is available 24/7 in Sydney, we just need to know your arrival information in advance to arrange that shuttle. We would suggest arriving on day 1. This trip will also conclude on the 16th of August. There is a 10% discount going on for the next few days, so if you book for this date you will receive 10% off.
- INTRO TravelOperator•Written July 2024
Our Australia and New Zealand trips have an age limit of 39, the age range of this tour will be 18-39 and the accommodation is in multishare style accommodation.

Tammy
Traveler•Written July 2024Could you provide the approximate age range of people on the tour? Are most participants between 18-24? How many people are currently booked for the August tour dates?
- INTRO TravelOperator•Written July 2024
You can arrive into Sydney at anytime on day 1 or a day earlier. The only activity is the welcome dinner at around 7pm. This group for the 7th of August has 18 people booked so far, the ages are 19 - 34 but most people on the group are in their 20's.

Asked on June 22nd, 2024i see it is only suitable for the age group 18-35. In my previous group trips, the travel agencies were allowing people to join even if they were few years older, and i am wondering if this is the case with this tour as well. I just turned 37 :)
- INTRO TravelOperator•Written June 2024
For our Australia trips, we are able to accept bookings up to the age of 39 so we would love to have you join us as well! The majority of people who do travel with us to Australia are in their 20s but as long as you have an appetite for adventure and are happy bonding with people of all backgrounds, you'll fit in perfectly :)
