- DDouglas· April 25th, 202524 people on an uncomfortable 24 seater bus is not a good start. At least when the bus broke down after a few days we got a slightly more comfortable replacement. On days 6 and 7 we also got a new guide - Wombat. At that point you realise that whatcwe had for the first 5 days was a bus driver ratger than a guide. Be prepated for early starts and long hours in the bus!!Show moreUnder Down Under Tours commented on this reviewDear Douglas, Thanks for sharing your feedback. We're disappointed that you're disappointed, and wish to apologise for the inconvenience of the bus breakdown. - LMLieve· April 18th, 2025Great trip to see a lot of Tassie! Tempo is not too high with lots of time to spend in several places. Only downside for me is the lack of group bonding. Being in different accommodation and not having joint meals you do miss out a little in the group aspect. But overall absolutely worth it!Show moreUnder Down Under Tours commented on this reviewThanks for sharing those comments. We're sorry this was your experience, Lieve. Although close by, motel guests do stay separately from the multishare/hostel accommodations and our guides generally facilitiate some group dinners together in town at... - AWAnna· April 6th, 2025I thoroughly enjoyed the Super 7 day tour. I learned so much history about Tasmania and got to see the west, north, east and south of the island. My tour guide was fantastic and had a wealth of knowledge that he shared with us along the journey. The scenery and walks/ hikes were plentiful and the group size was just perfect.Show moreUnder Down Under Tours commented on this reviewWonderful, thanks so much Anna.Trip date: December 2024
- MKMargaret· April 3rd, 2025This was a fabulous tour taking us to many of Tasmania's finest historical and natural wonders. Our driver/guide Keygan made the whole journey extra special. His commentaries on everything from history, geology, botany, etc, animal spotting, jokes, participation in activities, entertaining card games, all.round nice guy and safe driving see me award him the best tour guide/driver I've ever travelled with.Show moreUnder Down Under Tours commented on this reviewThanks so much Margaret. - Clive· March 28th, 2025Tour covered the majority of the places we had wanted to see. The guides were knowledgeable and helpful. The pace was reasonable although it was apparent that the short beach visits were fillers with that time better used to transit more slowly so that we could absorb the ambience and enjoy the experience. .Show moreUnder Down Under Tours commented on this reviewHi Clive, thanks for your feedback. - WTWilliam· March 10th, 2025It was a very interesting tour. Our tour guides/drivers, Brandon and Anthony, included as much as they could fit in each day. The only hard part was getting up early to begin mopst days, but we did get to see more as a result, so, no worries!Show moreUnder Down Under Tours commented on this reviewThanks so much, William.Trip date: February 2025

- MSMARGARET· February 17th, 2025Mix of backpackers & motel/hotel guests didn't always work. Bus was very old & uncomfortable especially for older travellers. Non English speaking guests often had difficulty understanding instructions. Maybe a white board with meet up times would be useful.Show moreUnder Down Under Tours commented on this reviewHi Margaret, We're sorry that you were disappointed in the tour. Asked on March 3rd, 2025We are looking for a Tasmania tour for 4 or 5 days during Easter. Start at Hobart and finish Launceston or the other way round. Let me know what options are available.
- Under Down Under ToursOperator•Written March 2025
All of our tours start and finish in Hobart so I would recommend flying in and out of Hobart. We do have our Super 7 available on the 17th April if this works for you?

Tiffany
Asked on February 20th, 2025Would like some clarity on what the accommodations are? Also is there a chance on this tour to catch the southern lights if it is in season?
- Under Down Under ToursOperator•Written February 2025
The best time to see the Aurora Australis (Southern Lights) in Tasmania is during the winter months from May to September, when the nights are longer and darker. However, the aurora can occur year-round. Whilst we have had guests see an aurora while on tour with us, it is not something that we can guarantee. The only tour we have available in May is our Famous 5 Tour.

Traveler•Written February 2025Will it be a hotel with private rooms or more of a hostel situation?
- Under Down Under ToursOperator•Written February 2025
We have a few different options. Our base level is dorm share accommodation, we then have private hostel rooms (private room with shared bathrooms) and also motel options (private rooms with private ensuite bathroom).

Asked on February 2nd, 2025Can I check if this tour is still available on the 1st May?
- Under Down Under ToursOperator•Written February 2025
Unfortunately we don't have this tour available on that date. Our last departure before the winter break for this tour is the 26th April if this would work for you?

Asked on January 11th, 2025Can we depart Tasmania the day our tour finishes?
- Under Down Under ToursOperator•Written January 2025
An airport drop-off can be arranged on the final day of the tour, but it's recommended to book a flight for 7.30pm or later.
- C

Asked on January 8th, 2025What is the luggage allowance for the tour?
- Under Down Under ToursOperator•Written January 2025
Restrictions include a limit of 20kg per person plus a small day pack.

Asked on December 20th, 2024Is it possible to inquire about which hostels we would be staying at beforehand? Could I negotiate the tour price?
- Under Down Under ToursOperator•Written December 2024
You would be staying at the following hostels on our Super 7 Tour: Strahan Backpackers - 2 nights, Launceston Backpackers - 1 night, Bicheno Under Down Under Lodge - 1 night, Hobart Central YHA - 2 nights. Unfortunately we wouldn't be able to offer a discount, we have set prices all year round.

Asked on December 14th, 2024We would like to know what kind of accommodation for night stay. Is there private bathroom for couples.
- Under Down Under ToursOperator•Written December 2024

Asked on October 24th, 2024How active are the tour activities?
- Under Down Under ToursOperator•Written October 2024
The tours are active and cater to various fitness levels, with different options available where possible.

Janet
Asked on October 18th, 2024Can you confirm if there is a price adjustment given that we want stay only in Motels? What is the typical age demographic for the Super 7 day tour? We are retired and are fit and healthy.
- Under Down Under ToursOperator•Written October 2024
Yes we can do a motel option. The price per person for a twin/double is $1695 per person. Our tours have a real mixed of ages and nationalities on them, they are quite active in style so to get the most out of it a moderate level of fitness is required.

Asked on September 18th, 2024I see no meals are included in this trip, so how are meals coordinated (i.e. tour stops at specific restaurants, or?)?
- Under Down Under ToursOperator•Written September 2024
Yes there are no meals included but there are plenty of opportunities each day to buy food. Each town we stay in also has restaurants, supermarkets etc.
