What people love about Sicily Tours from Catania
- Sicilian Secrets - Tour of Sicily 6 days
Fantastic tour of Sicily it was a very interesting and busy itinerary and I very much enjoyed the historical content. The Greek and Roman sites were impressive. Our Guide was absolutely brilliant organising a large group! His knowledge of the history and customs of Sicily was excellent. The meals included were of a good standard, however service was slow with such a large party. It would have been helpful to have some basic drinks included as was difficult to organise paying for these at the end of the evening! I would highly recommend Sicilian Secrets!
- Small Group Sicily Food & Wine Tour (Maximum 8 Guests)
The trip was very well organized and executed beautifully. There were no hiccups in scheduling, and flexible to divert the pre-planned route in case there was an interest in the group. The meals included in the tour were at stellar spots, which beautifully illustrated wonderful cuisine of Sicily, and the diversification of it from one region to another. Winery tours are something wonderful and the memories will stay with us for long times. The wineries on the tours also showed how diversified the wine production in Sicily is, how it emerges now to the world market, and the wineries selected showed the difference in larger (but not "industrialized") operations vs. smaller "boutique" style wineries. All setup in a beautiful spots, the Gambino winery on the mount Etna, with beautiful organically produced wines and wonderful enthusiastic guides, Pupilo winery in Siracusa is a smaller family owned production setup in a beautiful and historical estate with botanical garden. The guides from Sicily Activities were really good, passionate about Sicily, its history and progression, local foods, wines, stories. They were engaging and very personable. The group sizes are indeed very small. Hotel accommodations were of high quality, in excellent very convenient locations. Additionally, the tour organizers were available at various times to address questions, or to provide additional insight or recommendations for the free time in towns. Thank you for a wonderful experience, Sicily Activities, Massimo, Rosario, Valerio and Naida!
