- Day 1
Arrival in Catania
You'll arrive at your hotel in Catania and have the rest of the day to settle in. Take it easy, get comfortable in your room, and grab dinner whenever you feel like it this evening.

- Day 2
Catania to Syracuse to Noto to Ragusa
After breakfast at the hotel, you're heading to Syracuse, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Walk through the Archaeological Park of Neapolis to see the Greek Theatre, Roman Amphitheatre, and the Ear of Dionysus. Then check out Ortigia island and its Cathedral, which was built right on top of ancient Greek temple ruins. You'll also see Arethusa's Fountain before grabbing lunch on your own. Later you'll travel to Noto to look at the 18th-century baroque architecture, and finally head to Ragusa for dinner and the night.

Ragusa to Modica to Piazza Armerina to Agrigento
You'll start after breakfast by exploring Ragusa Ibla with its baroque churches and palaces (this is where they filmed Commissario Montalbano). From there, head to Modica for a chocolate tasting at the Sabadeci factory, then have lunch at a local spot. Next stop is Piazza Armerina to see the Villa Romana del Casale with its incredible Roman mosaics. By evening you'll be in Agrigento for dinner and to stay the night.

Agrigento to Marsala to Palermo
Begin with the Valley of the Temples, where you'll walk around the ancient ruins of Akragas, including the Temple of Juno, Temple of Concord, and Temple of Hercules. Later you'll travel to Marsala to see its baroque architecture and visit the famous Florio Cellars where they make Marsala wine. Have a light lunch with wine tasting, then take a walk along the Salt Road past the old salt pans and windmills overlooking the Stagnone Islands. You'll finish up in Palermo with dinner and overnight.

Palermo and Monreale
After breakfast, you're traveling to Monreale to visit the Cathedral, which is considered one of the most important examples of Arab-Norman art. Check out the Cloister with its decorated columns and stone inlays. Back in Palermo, you'll see the Cathedral and the Martorana Church with Byzantine mosaics, plus the Cappella Palatina in the Norman Palace. Take a lunch break to try local products, then wander through the historic center to see the Teatro Massimo opera house and Pretoria Square. You'll have free time for dinner and overnight.

Cefalù to Catania
After breakfast, you're heading to Cefalù, a seaside village overlooking the Mediterranean. You'll visit the Norman Cathedral with its Byzantine mosaics and have free time to walk around the streets. There's also an optional Mandralisca Museum if you're interested. Grab lunch at a local restaurant, then continue to Catania. Explore the historic center with its dark lava stone baroque architecture. Start at Duomo Square to see the Cathedral of Sant'Agata and the famous Lavica Stone Elephant. Visit University Square and walk Via dei Crociferi with its baroque churches and S. Benedict Monastery. Take a break at a historic bar for granita and brioche, then have dinner on your own and stay the night.

Catania to Mount Etna to Taormina
You'll start with breakfast and visit the pescheria, Catania's fish market, then head to Mount Etna, Europe's highest active volcano and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The landscapes there feature lava flows and interesting plant life. You'll reach Rifugio Sapienza for views of Etna and explore the Crateri Silvestri, which are inactive volcanic cones. Try some local honey and artisanal products. After that, travel to Taormina with a lunch stop in town. See the Greco-Roman Theatre with views of the Gulf of Naxos, then have free time to explore or shop before heading back to the hotel for dinner.

Castelmola and Savoca
After breakfast, you'll go to Castelmola near Taormina, a hilltop village with views over the Ionian Sea. Walk through the narrow alleys and squares, then head up to the ruins of the Castello di Mola. Later you'll visit Savoca, another beautiful village on a rocky hill with medieval and baroque architecture. Walk through the alleys and see the actual film location from The Godfather, including the Vitelli bar where Al Pacino's character has that famous scene. You'll also visit the Church of Santa Lucia where the wedding scene was filmed. Get back to Taormina for free afternoon time, then have dinner and overnight at the hotel.
