You stay relatively busy throughout the day with lots of hopping around to be able to see a lot of the island, while most evenings are left to you to decide what to do and where to eat. It was perfect. The Itinerary was great, the bus was comfortable, the group was a good size with room to spare, the food was better than expected (especially the lunches) but the best was the Tour leader (Alessio) he was fantastic, entertaining and fun to tour with. He kept the group under control at all times and made sure we were all attended for. I can not say enough about how great he was. The bus driver (Pino) was polite & very professional, especially when it came to handling the traffic in the streets of Palermo and Catania. The tour leaders were very informative and answered any questions asked. The hotels were also acceptable with clean, comfortable rooms. Catered lunches were in crammed facilities and the food poor quality. Italian food by our own selection was fabulous ! - PWPatricia· September 17th, 2025due to high heat & humidity, it was very difficult. Walking in afternoon extremely difficult. Not long enough rests--no chances beyond 10" for free time. The one hotel spa closed swimming pool at 7 p.m., when we arrived, which is unprofessional. Their reason "no lifeguard on duty." Who has lifeguards at hotel pools? Also, 3 flites down to dinner, which was poorly lit--unsafe. Food ok, not as great as advertised. Hotel Principe's bar & restaurant closed (their service staff was wonderful, tho'); leaky shower. We had to schlepp our luggage too many times--unheard of on other tours. We had so many excursions and so many wonderful places to explore. Bus was very comfortable but unfortunately without Wi-Fi.
