- KRKatrina· July 30th, 2025Be forewarned that Omega Tours is a travel agent, not the actual tour operator, as this tour was run by a completely different tour company, and not everyone had used Omega tours to join it. There was a mix of native English, Spanish and Italian speakers on the tour. We had a smaller group (28-30 people) and at least 1/2 of them were English speaking. Our tour guide was good at getting information out in 3 languages, but it is very distracting to know when to tune in or tune out the speaker. It just takes longer when visiting sites. The actual itinerary was wonderful. It was a quick whirl around Sicily, and definitely fast paced. The bus was good, as it had a strong air conditioning when the temperatures were mostly >30C. The hotels were also generally good and the food provided was generally tasty.Show moreTrip date: July 2025
Dianne· October 15th, 2023We were happy with the overall tour itself, very knowedgable and helpful tour guide who did everything to ensure we had the best holiday experience. Irene was the best. We were disappointed with the time it took Tour Radar to confirm our first Hotel destination details so we could organise a transfer. Communication on this was rather poor and not helpful being provided so close to tour commencement date when we were already on the road travelling Italy.Show moreTrip date: September 2023
Robyn· October 5th, 2023The Splendours of Sicily tour enabled us to visit many places throughout Sicily in a limited time. I was disappointed and frustrated that there was little and usually delayed correspondence back to my enquiries and frustrated when finding that the tour we’d booked for was under another name. There was no introduction to the guide or the members of the tour . The first guide for the first two days Placido spoke (and moved about) very quickly and was very difficult to understand. Fortunately he swapped his guiding and our next Guide, Irene was very helpful, but with over 40 participants to assist, her job was just impossible. The Valley of the Temples tour was without the promised guide as we’d apparently missed our starting time (probably because there were so many if us). The tour of the Ancient Greek Theatre in Taormina was to be guided by Placido again and for some reason he was delayed and so we had only 15 minutes to walk through this site and supposedly hear his commentary. This was most disappointing. The included meals at the various hotels that we shared with dozens of others on different tour groups, were underwhelming and whilst they were identified as traditional or local Sicilian Cuisine they tasted like they’d just been straight out of a can - I would not use Tour radar again nor would I recommend them to friendsShow more

John· July 30th, 2023This tour is a comprehensive tour of Sicily. You see a lot. There is a lot of walking - at least 10 km per day and some of it is uneven terrain and stairs. The accommodations were good, all 4 star for Europe (which is not the same as in North America). The meals were decent. This tour was advertised as English speaking but in reality it was tri-lingual (English, Italian and Spanish). Some of the free time was during siesta hours and nothing was open. Where there should have been more free time was in Cefalu and Taormina so you could go to the beach. The bus driver Angelo was excellent. City taxes and excursions were extra out of pocket expenses.Show more

Kim· November 10th, 2022Long days and lots of walking. This tour should be rated as difficult. Too much free time. Would have preferred to arrive earlier at our accommodation and have dinner at an earlier time, rather than 8pm at night. The guide could have been more engaging.Show moreTrip date: October 2022- DHDavid· October 23rd, 2022Chose it because we had never been to Sicily and there is so much there ...where do we go? ... thought it would be good to learn from the experts. Comprehensive! We will be back! Vittoria, the leader, very knowledgeable very helpful, very well organised. Food venues chosen were varied with a good variety of excellent Sicilian foods. Guides at the various locations were super ... feel Vittoria selected them specially. Hotels OK. Lot of travelling, lot of walking ... had to opt out twice ... we were knackered! Highly recommendedShow moreTrip date: October 2022

- TBTimothy· August 15th, 2022This tour showed us many fine we things. However it was advertised as an English speaking tour. The primary language was Italian with then an English translation. This made for long arduous explanations. The days were extremely long. No effort was made at any time to give tour members an opportunity to introduce themselves to the other tour members. That was really lacking.Show moreTrip date: July 2022
