We expected exactly what was promised in the itinerary but no, not even close. Hotels are maybe 1 star not 4. Best Hotel is Di Primo in Catania but in a bad neighborhood. Food was terrible! Four days at lunch pasta ( sometime with sauce, sometimes with canned tuna) and half fish with canned vegetables. Not edible! Expect long walks up the hill and down the hills and lots of steps. Not suitable for older people with locomotion problems. Soma people in out group walked with canes! Expect waiting in the heat for long time and nobody tells you why! Expect to push your luggage from the bus to the hotel and handling your luggage everyday. Guide or driver never offered a hand to help us off the bus. Driver uses his phone all the time during his job! Expect to be sent to different hotels than the ones you were told on the schedule and nobody will let you know in advance. Expect the guide to skip some sites and change the time on the schedule and rush you through the tour. - Joanne· July 31st, 2025Prior to departing all correspondence was answered promptly. Our tour guide in Sicily was extremely hard to understand with his heavy accent. Also our group was large not a small group. We had 45 people on our tour.There were 3 nationalities,English, Spanish and Italian. Our tour guide spoke poor English and only spoke direct to Spanish speaking and Italian people. When we approached him one on one to have things clarified,we were very much dismissed.The tour guy spoke at length in other languages and very little English. Also as per the itinerary ,it was not clearly set out that everyday the excursions were extra to be paid in cash only. We found this awkward and soon ran out of cash taken . The way the itinerary reads ,we assumed that the day trips were always paid in our booking. The staff from the office (Maria) answered all my questions promptly and efficiently prior to my tour. Most of the included lunches and dinners did not justify the famous and tasty Sicilia cuisine. The guide is organized, punctual and knowledgable. However I wish he would have presented a more concise history and description of the places we visited. - AJill· February 6th, 2025A ten out of ten experience. I would like to highly recommend the 11 days/10 nights Sicilian Secretes tour of Sicily and Malta offered by Dimensione Sicilia. Starting from my initial contact with the company my travel specialist, Maria, was extremely helpful and very professional in her communications with me. The tour was well organised and ran very smoothly. I felt that it included many of the key highlights of Sicily and Malta and proceeded at a good pace. I liked that it allowed for free time on your own some evenings, as well as a few included dinners. Our Sicilian tour guide, Angelo, spoke excellent English and led us with enthusiasm and competence. Angelo was very knowledgeable, told great travel stories and was kind and caring to all passengers. Our bus was clean and comfortable. Many of my fellow travellers ended their tour in Sicily but a few of us flew on to Malta for three wonderful days here. In Malta we were expertly cared for by our Maltese tour guide Charmaine and driver Johnathan, who both made us feel very welcome. Charmaine worked hard to tailor the tour service she provided to our interests and was knowledgeable, kind and attentive. The tour experience Charmaine and Johnathan provided was outstanding and I cannot speak highly enough of them both. I generally thought the overall tour was of good value relative to its cost and all the accommodation options were clean and comfortable (the Hotel Verdi Gzira Waterfront in Malta and Hotel Baia di Ulisse in Agrigento being highlights). Most of the optional excursions were well worth doing. Local guides conducting the tours were very knowledgeable and had good command of English. Hotels were in good locations and of average four stars quality. Having read reviews of this particular tour was helpful to set the right expectations, such as lots of walking, needing to take your own luggage to the tour bus etc. If you’re ok with these things, as we were, I would recommend the tour. The negative things were the meals. We saw quite a bit of Sicily in just one week. Hotels were ok, 4 star by Sicilian standards I guess. Included lunches were good for the most part. The included dinners were substandard. We had a great group which added to the enjoyment of the tour. It would be helpful to know hotels we are staying in more than 5 days before tour starts so we can book our own airport transfers which would have been less expensive. Also more attention needs to be paid to the small details. Didn’t affect me much since I am on top of everything but still had to deal with and correct the minor mistakes in my booking. The departure is guaranteed. Silver Package is a supplement costing EUR 145 per person, including city taxes and site entrance fees. You will receive hotel details one week before departure. Tour price doesn't include city taxes. Currently a 20% discount is available. You need a passport valid 6 months after departure. Tips are not mandatory. The bus has 52 seats but no WiFi. We will have a monolingual English group with 35/40 participants. Difficulty level is medium with approximately 2-2.5 hours walking per day. Late evening arrival won't be a problem.

during the tour you will spend approximately 2.30 hrs in the bus and the same ammount of time visiting the different places. it depends on what you visit but usually you have also several shops around! we can arrange either a double room with one big bed or a twin room with 2 separated beds
