What people love about Thailand Tours in September
- Thai Intro 12 Day
Firstly all i can say is that ThaIntro has been an absolutely amazing experience! Throughout the whole week i have had such an amazing time and had the chance to meet some lovely people! This is the second group tour i have done (including OzIntro) and i will definitely be doing another one. The activities we did were amazing and were really well organised. There wasn't one part of the week where i felt bored or wanting something to do. The food and restaurants that were included were so delicious and perfect for everyone to enjoy. The accommodation we stayed in Bangkok was In an amazing spot and the accommodation in Koh Phangan and Khao Sok were literally like paradise. Lastly our group leader Adam was one of the main reasons the group was so amazing. Even though there was 25 of us, he was always up for a laugh, ensured everyone was included and made sure we all enjoyed ourselves...which i think is amazing to be able to do! He organised everything so well, and his knowledge and tips on my onward travel through South East Asia was so helpful and helped me and my friend feel at ease going on traveling on our own. Overall i would definitely recommend ThaIntro to anyone wanting the most amazing start and experiences in Thailand!! Thank you ThaIntro
- Bangkok to Chiang Mai Express
This was a fantastic tour! I loved the itinerary. It included everything from seeing ancient to modern temples, riding in a raft house in a crystal clear lake and swimming and canoeing in the lake, hiking in a lush waterfall park, sliding down the waterfalls, learning about the Death railway and seeing how life continues to thrive even after such tragedy, and amazing Chiangmai. You will really love it! Samart is a wonderful, kind, hilarious, playful, energetic and wise guide. He was a monk for 9 years and has very interesting stories to tell about his experiences as a monk and as a child in Thailand. He is an inspiring person and fun loving too, and would have lots of ideas about fun things to do after dinner. Give yourself the gift of this trip. You'll be grateful that you did!
- Thai Intro 9 Day
One of the best weeks of my life! From the begining until the end it is a truely amaing trip! You get to see some of Thailands prettiest places and its so much fun meeting everyone on your tour! I would do the trip again in a heart beat! Anyone thinking of going to Thailand even if its not for the first time I would recomend doing a week with Thaintro! Kohsan Road, temples, sleeper trains, floating bungalows, monkeys, elephants, massage and meeting the most amaing people!...nothing could be better!
What our customers ask about Thailand Tours in September 2025
What is the weather like in Thailand during September?
September brings tropical weather patterns to Thailand with regional variations. Northern Thailand including Chiang Mai sees predictable afternoon showers while Bangkok maintains temperatures between 28-32°C (82-90°F) with notable humidity. The beach areas of Phuket and Koh Samui experience intermittent heavy rainfall. Recent TourRadar travelers staying at properties like the Imperial Phitsanulok Hotel and Valia Hotel Bangkok note that brief rain spells often provide welcome relief from the heat rather than disrupting travel plans.
What are the best regions to visit in Thailand during September?
The eastern Gulf coast tends to have more stable weather during September. While the northern regions of Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai see afternoon rains they remain rich in cultural activities. Central Thailand including Bangkok offers a practical mix of indoor and outdoor experiences. Travelers report success at properties like the Imperial River House Chiang Rai where they schedule outdoor activities in the morning before typical afternoon showers.
Are there any special festivals in Thailand during September?
September marks several cultural celebrations across Thailand. When the timing aligns the Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival brings energy to Bangkok's Chinatown district. Buddhist temples host ceremonies marking the end of Buddhist Lent. Visitors staying at properties like the Imperial River House in Chiang Mai find themselves well-positioned to experience these local celebrations which offer an authentic view of Thai cultural traditions.
What are the best islands to visit in Thailand during September?
The Gulf of Thailand islands (Koh Samui Koh Phangan Koh Tao) generally offer calmer conditions while Andaman Sea islands face choppier waters. Recent visitors based at the Andakira Phuket hotel report successful snorkeling trips to Phi Phi Islands though sea conditions can require flexible scheduling. The waters around Koh Samui tend to be more consistently suitable for water activities.
How much should I budget for a Thailand trip in September?
September's shoulder season status brings reduced rates across Thailand. Standard 10-day tour packages cost between USD 1000-1500 including stays at mid-range properties like True Siam Rangnam Hotel in Bangkok. Recent travelers report finding rates at upscale properties like NA NIRAND Resort at up to 30% below peak season prices making luxury stays more accessible.
What are the accommodation options in Thailand during September?
The range spans from functional 3-star hotels to luxury 5-star resorts. Bangkok's options include the practical Isanook Bangkok and the well-appointed Century Park Bangkok. In Chiang Mai properties like Na Nirand Romantic Boutique Resort cater to various preferences. The Amari Watergate in Bangkok represents the type of property that handles rainy season well with comprehensive indoor facilities.
