But I wanted to concentrate on our brilliant group leader Izzy. From start to finish Izzy made you feel so welcome, she took away any stresses and concerns and SHE made the trip so easy and enjoyable for all. We were mindful of our sub group of 6 ‘oldies’ joining a younger group but from the outset Izzy went out of her way in settling us in and integrating us into the wider group. You can see how she makes a conscious effort to sit with different people each day and night so spreads her time equally. This did not go unnoticed. Her energy, enthusiasm and general happiness in doing what she does rubs off on others which proves this role is totally her bag. The little touches like reminding everyone on a night out that if you wanted to go home early and was on your own she would walk back to the hotel with you. Or making sure her bed on the overnight train was near ours so if we needed anything or had issues we could simply shout. Izzy really doesn’t miss a trick and has the sweetest heart. Asked on May 1st, 2025I'm very interested in this tour from Nov 30 - Dec 11. From the dates, I see that the full moon party will be right on Koh Phangan. I have a couple of questions: 1) will we be near Haad Rin? 2) will the full moon party on this tour be on Haad Rin? 2) will we do a day tour of Bottle Beach and check out that particular viewpoint? I saw online that's probably the best one. 3) will we get to see Paradise Waterfall / Guanyin Mother Shrine / Patnip Market? Can I get a single room supplemental? If so, how much in USD?

We don't got to Bottle Beach but we do go to Pantip Market. If there are any extra activities you would like to do when you are over there just let your GL know and they will help you book anything else you want to do!

The majority of people on our tours are aged 18 to 39, but we regularly have people in their 40's travel with us and have an incredible time. We tend to find we get a slightly older demographic on this tour, with less people in their early 20s and a wider mix of ages.

South east seems fine its the south west I'm worried which is where Phi Phi and Phuket are which is the reason why I want to go to this tour

We currently have 5 people booked on to this trip and everyone is in their 20's & 30's. It would be very unlikely that you would have rain for the duration, but it is really hard to say as the weather can vary due to the tropical climates. Normally when it does rain, it usually only rains for a short period in the afternoon, which can be a nice relief from the hot & humid weather!

For a private room it would cost an extra $350 and it wouldn't be possible to have a private room on the overnight train and potentially in Koh Phangan (dependant on group numbers).

Asked on November 6th, 2024I am wondering if I would be able to arrange to have transportation back to Bangkok and fly out of there at the end of the trip, instead of Phuket, as it adds a huge dollar amount to the plane ticket. Could you let me know if this would be possible, and also what the fee would be?

The quickest option is to get a ferry to Phuket or Krabi and then a flight back. You will need to book your own flight, and we recommend not booking it any earlier than 3pm on day 12. The ferry can be booked locally through your Group Leader. The flight can be booked with a variety of airlines including Air Asia, Nok Air and Bangkok Air. Just make sure to leave enough time between your Phuket to Bangkok flight, and your international flight home.

Thai Intro 12 Day finishes on the Phi Phi Islands. You can choose to stay on longer in Phi Phi or if you need to get back to Bangkok the quickest option is to get a ferry to Phuket or Krabi and then a flight back. The earliest the Phuket or Krabi to Bangkok flight should be booked is 3pm on day 12. The ferry can be booked locally and the flight can be booked with a variety of airlines including Air Asia, Nok Air and Bangkok Air. Your group leader will ensure any other local transport is sorted and you are comfortable with all parts of your trip and your onward travel.

You can choose to arrive at anytime on this day as there are no activities planned. It also doesn't matter which airport you arrive in to Bangkok as a pick up is available from both airports. The group does get together at around 7pm for a welcome dinner so I would try and aim to land at some point in the afternoon if possible. However it isn't mandatory and even if you do arrive after this time, you will always be able to catch up with the group afterwards.
