Paula and Tom were genuinely great throughout the entire trip, and our local guide, Timmy, was absolutely amazing. They each brought so much energy, knowledge, and warmth, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. The itinerary was so well put together, with a perfect balance of exciting activities and proper chill time, so it never felt rushed or too full-on. One thing that really stood out was how smoothly everything was handled, even when unexpected issues popped up. For example, when some of us didn’t have a bed on the overnight train, something that could’ve been really stressful, Paula dealt with it so calmly and confidently. She kept everyone updated, stayed upbeat, and somehow managed to resolve everything with a smile. It made us all feel incredibly supported and well cared for. If I had to suggest one tiny improvement, it would simply be to add a bit more variety to the food spots. Some places had very limited options for people with dietary requirements, so maybe letting the group vote on where to eat could give everyone more choice. But other than this, it was absolutely amazing. Overall, the trip was incredible from start to finish, and the guides are a huge part of what made it so memorable. Each activity was thoughtfully planned and covered everything you’d hope to do in Thailand. Asked on May 1st, 2025I'm very interested in this tour from Nov 30 - Dec 11. From the dates, I see that the full moon party will be right on Koh Phangan. I have a couple of questions: 1) will we be near Haad Rin? 2) will the full moon party on this tour be on Haad Rin? 2) will we do a day tour of Bottle Beach and check out that particular viewpoint? I saw online that's probably the best one. 3) will we get to see Paradise Waterfall / Guanyin Mother Shrine / Patnip Market? Can I get a single room supplemental? If so, how much in USD?

Yes you won't be far from Haad Rin and you will be able to go down with the group for the full moon party. We don't got to Bottle Beach but we do go to Pantip Market. If there are any extra activities you would like to do when you are over there just let your GL know and they will help you book anything else you want to do!

The majority of people on our tours are aged 18 to 39, but we regularly have people in their 40's travel with us and have an incredible time. We tend to find we get a slightly older demographic on this tour, with less people in their early 20s and a wider mix of ages.

We currently have 5 people booked on to this trip and everyone is in their 20's & 30's. It would be very unlikely that you would have rain for the duration, but it is really hard to say as the weather can vary due to the tropical climates. Normally when it does rain, it usually only rains for a short period in the afternoon, which can be a nice relief from the hot & humid weather!

For a private room it would cost an extra $350 and it wouldn't be possible to have a private room on the overnight train and potentially in Koh Phangan (dependant on group numbers).

Asked on November 6th, 2024I am wondering if I would be able to arrange to have transportation back to Bangkok and fly out of there at the end of the trip, instead of Phuket, as it adds a huge dollar amount to the plane ticket. Could you let me know if this would be possible, and also what the fee would be?

The quickest option is to get a ferry to Phuket or Krabi and then a flight back. You will need to book your own flight, and we recommend not booking it any earlier than 3pm on day 12. The ferry can be booked locally through your Group Leader. The flight can be booked with a variety of airlines including Air Asia, Nok Air and Bangkok Air. Just make sure to leave enough time between your Phuket to Bangkok flight, and your international flight home.

Thai Intro 12 Day finishes on the Phi Phi Islands. You can choose to stay on longer in Phi Phi or if you need to get back to Bangkok the quickest option is to get a ferry to Phuket or Krabi and then a flight back. The earliest the Phuket or Krabi to Bangkok flight should be booked is 3pm on day 12. The ferry can be booked locally and the flight can be booked with a variety of airlines including Air Asia, Nok Air and Bangkok Air. Your group leader will ensure any other local transport is sorted and you are comfortable with all parts of your trip and your onward travel.
