- JBJennifer· February 9th, 2024Such a fun way to explore the less travelled roads of Chiang Mai area and northern Thailand. The 11 day tuk tuk holiday with Yuth and Nahm as guides was so interesting and adventurous. Both are very knowledgeable about local history, temples, foods, agricultural crops and have great general knowledge of their home country Thailand. Walking with elephants down to the river, rafting, hiking, exploring caves, visiting local markets and tasting local street foods as well as seeing some astounding scenery from the mountainous terrain and driving those switchbacks was exciting. The group of 11 gelled well with 3 leaving after their 5 day tour and clearly wishing they had stayed on………as they followed our jaunts for the next 6 days and we theirs. The tuk tuks are now automatic transmission and comfortable to ride in as the refreshing perspective of seeing everything from such a novel vehicle is a huge part of this fun adventure. I can’t recommend this tour enough……just do it! It was so relaxing sitting in the back of the Tuk Tuk with a lovely cool breeze. We were able to enjoy all the sights. Boys, Ao & Milk shared so much knowledge of Thai culture. We started our tour with a monk blessing, experieced swimming with elephants, rafting, amazing views, swimming in waterfalls, exploring caves, hiking and so much more. The food was sensational, coctails amazing & who could forget the massages? Beds are very firm but an extra pillow solves that. Mr Win was a great back up guy - so polite and helpful :) Nothing was too much trouble for either of them - they looked after us all v well. The Tuk Tuks were amazing - great fun to drive and training was all done at a very nice gentle pace to suit everyone - even I passed the driving test on day one! ;) Fantastic route - so many bends, inclines, declines and narrow country roads too. Definitely the way to travel this part of the world and get off the tourist trail to see the real Thailand and meet it's people. We do have different prices for different times of the year - so our different price periods are November - February / March - April / May - October.

All three of you are booked in and you will all be in the same Tuk Tuk. There's plenty of room. The Tuk Tuks are much bigger than 'regular' Tuk Tuks for one person driving at any given time and two of you in the back seats. And then there's a lot of driving giving you all plenty of time to switch around during the adventure. Accommodation wise, you have 1 x twin (or double) and 1 x single room.

We have departures every week, and this year there are 2 dates left with space for 2 chauffeur driven passengers; July 30th and September 10th. After that though we don't have any spaces until the end of April next year. If there's a specific time of year that you're interested in then we can put you on the waiting list - we do get changes every now and then so it is entirely possible that more spaces might open up.

The fitness requirements for our trips are very low - they're all very easy going and designed to be a relaxing adventure through the hills. The 11 and 5 Day Adventures do have a short hike (5km or so, mainly downhill) on Day 4 but we take it extrremely slowly so that everyone can enjoy it. For the self-drive version of the trip you do need to be able to drive comfortably for up to 850km spread over the 11 Days, but if that isn't for you there is a chauffeur driven option too where one of our team can drive for you.
