What people love about Thailand Tours in March
- Thailand Experience
Without doubt one of the best things I have ever done. I was hesitating between this and a large tour provider like STA and I'm so glad I chose this. From the minute you are picked up from the airport you feel safe, looked after and relaxed. The tour guides themselves are great and have some brilliant connections in Thailand who they can hook you up with before and after your tour, and all the other people on my tour were brilliant. It felt more like going away and seeing some incredible stuff with seven of my mates! Lodgings are always a concern with tours but we stayed in some beautiful places and even the most basic ones were lovely. Having most of your meals and your lodgings taken out of your hands too means you can just use your free time to chill out. I never felt it was too intense or full on and yet you see and do so much in a week. The tour is a great mix of stuff you'd definitely want to tick off and off the beaten track gems you'd never otherwise know about, such as the night on Bottle beach and staying in the floating bungalows! Indeed - many of the people I met after the tour said they couldnt believe some of the stuff I'd done and these are Thailand regulars. Because of the tour leaders' many years of experience in Thailand, not only have they fitted a lot in but you get to see everything at the perfect time - such as Khao Sok national park - stunning at sunrise at 6am! An unforgettable week for 375 and a really well put together itinerary - this should be more like 2000. Thank you so much to TruTravels for giving me a great start in Thailand.
- Thai Intro 9 Day
Thai intro was incredible. I couldn't recommend this enough as a way to see beautiful Thailand. Everywhere we went was amazing but my favourite part had to be the floating bungalows in Khao Sok - An experience you shouldn't miss out on. As for our leaders Nathan and Dan they couldn't have been better. They were so helpful, great fun and really looked out for us on our travels. Two legends!
- Bangkok and Ancient Capitals, Small Group Tour
Unfortunately we had a Rocky start, feeling like we didn't have a detailed enough itinerary. We had no idea that the first two days would be completely on our own, perhaps we would have scheduled some things differently. In the future I'd recommend a better itinerary breakdown that explains when you'll be meeting the group etc. We really found we didn't need the two days in Bangkok on our own because we flew in early and had expected to be meeting the group for those two days on the tour. In this respect it felt more like a 5 day tour, as the last day we were also on our own. The tour however was great, we enjoyed the small group of 12. MOST of our hotels were excellent - the Chakungrao was unfortunately quite terrible. Regarding our tour guide, Ram, we ran into some issues with. On multiple occasions he asked us to pay ahead for extra excursions, which always seemed very pricey, but we did it, not wanting to miss out. Upon arriving to each excursion we noticed that the pricing was cheaper than we paid Ram. We felt rather taken advantage of. Upon questioning him we were brushed off and given excuses, however each of us in the group did our research and know that we were indeed ripped off. Such as the elephant bathing and bicycle riding in the Sukohothai Historical Park. If I were to add anything, it would have to be Chiang Rai. Our bus driver was fantastic, very quick and we felt safe. The bus was always clean. Having WiFi on the bus was a huge plus for us. Regardless of our few negative comments, we enjoyed ourselves and are thankful to have had this experience. Thank you!
