What people love about Thailand Tours in June
- Thai Intro 12 DayGreat way to meet people if travelling on your own. Good value for money as everything is included and you see a lot over the week. Help with onwards travel is also really helpful. Tour reps are organised and make the week really fun.
- Bangkok and Ancient Capitals, Small Group TourOverall, it was a great experience. Our guide was very knowledgeable and helpful. The hotels we were staying in were very nice.
- Ultimate Thailand in 10 Days - Ayutthaya / Khao Sok / PhuketGiftsy was our personal guide in Bangkok and she had a lot of interesting historical facts to share. When we went to Phuket, the company provided transportation and booked tours for us so we didn’t need to do any of that ourselves. They even booked us a ride to church on Sunday. We had a wonderful time. The weather was perfect, albeit a little hot, especially while touring Bangkok. The Rock and Treehouse resort was really nice. We paid for an upgrade to 4 star hotels and both hotels were very nice. Wish we could have stayed longer, but work calls.
What our customers ask about Thailand Tours in June 2026
- What's the weather like in Thailand during June?- Thailand enters its rainy season in June with distinct regional patterns. Bangkok and central areas see quick afternoon downpours while maintaining warm temperatures near 88°F (31°C). Many travelers find the rain manageable as noted in TourRadar reviews: "The rainy season didn't affect us at all we were snorkelling or swimming at beaches nearly every day." Places like Koh Phangan and Phuket offer good swimming conditions with fewer tourists at spots like Tiki Beach Hotel where afternoon showers bring welcome relief from the heat.
- What are the best islands to visit in Thailand during June?- The islands in the Gulf of Thailand including Koh Phangan and Koh Tao offer more stable weather patterns than their Andaman coast counterparts during June. Water visibility remains clear for snorkeling around Koh Tao while Bottle Beach in Koh Phangan provides reliable beach conditions. Beachfront accommodations like Sarana Bungalows report steady bookings with guests enjoying morning activities before typical afternoon showers.
- What are the best areas to visit in Thailand during June?- The northern regions including Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai prove particularly welcoming in June. Mae Wang's elephant sanctuaries and hiking trails remain accessible while Khao Sok National Park sees fewer visitors during rainforest treks. A TruTravels guest observation captures the experience: "June was perfect for visiting Chiang Mai - the rain actually made the elephant sanctuary and jungle trek even more atmospheric." Beach destinations like Phuket's Kata Beach and Krabi's Ao Nang continue to welcome visitors with properties like Sofitel Krabi Phokeethra Resort providing shelter during brief showers.
- Are there any special festivals or events in Thailand during June?- June brings several distinctive cultural celebrations to Thailand. The Dan Sai district hosts the vibrant Phi Ta Khon Festival (Ghost Festival) with its iconic mask parades. Phuket holds its International Marathon while Bangkok launches the Amazing Thailand Grand Sale across major shopping centers. Legend Travel Group guides note: "June offers a more authentic Thai experience as you'll encounter more local festivals than tourist-focused events."
- What kind of accommodation rates can I expect in Thailand during June?- June presents notable savings on accommodations throughout Thailand. High-end properties like Na Nirand Romantic Boutique Resort in Chiang Mai and Kata Sea Breeze Resort in Phuket reduce their rates significantly. Room prices drop 20-30% below peak season rates with luxury options starting at 150 USD nightly. TourRadar reviews frequently mention unexpected room upgrades during this period.
- How crowded are major tourist attractions in Thailand during June?- June's shoulder season status means quieter conditions at popular sites. The Grand Palace in Bangkok Wat Phra That Doi Suthep in Chiang Mai and Phi Phi Islands see noticeably fewer visitors. One G Adventures traveler shares: "We visited the temples in Bangkok during June and had much more space to explore compared to the busy winter months. The Wat Arun temple was particularly peaceful in the morning."
- How much should I budget for a trip to Thailand in June?- June travel costs benefit from shoulder season pricing. Tour packages range from 1350 USD for a 10-day Full Moon Experience to 2395 USD for a 21-day comprehensive tour. TourRadar data shows daily expenses averaging 135-183 USD covering lodging activities and select meals. Additional funds should be set aside for optional excursions and personal spending.
