What people love about Scotland Tours in June
- Best of Scotland (Summer)
Timing of some itineraries. eg having to journey on before Culloden Visitors Centre opened Too much time spent in tourist shops Too much time travelling from Carrbridge Hotel to Skye to back to Carrbridge Hotel. My suggestion : only one night at Carrbridge Hotel , one night at an hotel near Fortwiiiian and two nights nights at Apex Hotel in Glasgow. Not our guides fault as she was carrying out the itinerary laid out for her Very enjoyable all the evening activities; Torphichen, Glasgow City Evening, Farewell Be My Guest
- 5 Day Skye & Highland Fling
This is one of the best tours we have done! We absolutely loved it. Our guide, Graeme, was really fun and passionate and made sure there was never a dull moment. The hostels we stayed in were all good and the scenery was breathtaking. You definitely get to know the country's amazing history and hear some cool stories. We fell in love with Scotland and could not recommend MacBackpackers more highly.
- 3 Day Loch Ness & Skye Magic
Awesome trip. Will have fond memories of this one for life. Can't wit to do another trip through you guys.

The western islands become a hub for wildlife enthusiasts in June. Westray in the Orkneys hosts one of Britain's largest seabird gatherings where visitors can observe puffins guillemots kittiwakes and razorbills nesting along the cliff edges. A TourRadar traveler shared their experience: "seeing puffins up close on Westray Island in June was absolutely magical - they were literally just 2 meters away from us!"

The extended daylight hours create perfect conditions for outdoor exploration. Scotland's summer weather calls for strategic packing. Bring waterproof hiking boots multiple clothing layers including a warm fleece a waterproof jacket and sunscreen for the long bright days. When staying at established properties like the Columba Hotel in Inverness or Mackays Hotel in Wick casual evening attire works well for dinner. The Outer Hebrides draw visitors with empty beaches and local cultural experiences while Orkney's ancient sites including Skara Brae benefit from the clear summer light.
