What people love about Costa Rica Tours in November
- Costa Rica: Ocean Waves & Sunsets
I would have enjoyed more time in La Fortuna because there was so much to do there. Also, I would have liked the option to upgrade my accommodation at certain locations. For example, I would have liked to upgrade to a tepee at Selina in La Fortuna.
- Exotic Costa Rica
This trip was much anticipated and lived up to all of our expectations. We had a wonderful experience. If we had questions, Andres was immediately responsive. It was such a nice feeling to know we could reach him.
- Ultimate Escape
The Ultimate Escape Tour organized by Destination Services was truly magical overview of all Costa Rica has to offer. We thoroughly enjoyed the variety of places this tour provided. I would highly recommend this package for folks visiting Costa Rica for the first time. We saw beaches, rainforests, cloud forests as well as a bit of the Caribbean and Pacific coasts. The variety of plants and animals exceeded our wildest expectations and left us wanting more! It would be helpful to have the details of the hotels and pick up times a little sooner than we received them for planning purposes. Also an extra day at Rincon de La Vieja would be helpful for folks arriving late in the day. There were several interesting activities that looked inviting but due to time constraints we were unable to participate in them. They have been added to the list of things to do on our return visit! Loved the country, the people and the Pura Vida attitude of Costa Rica. Phenomenal trip! I highly recommend this package.

November signals Costa Rica's shift from wet to dry season with regional variations throughout the country. Visitors to Arenal and Monteverde can expect temperatures between 75-85°F with scattered afternoon showers. The Caribbean coastline near Tortuguero maintains its characteristic humidity punctuated by quick rain bursts while Pacific shores begin to dry out. Tortuguero National Park offers prime wildlife viewing with more than 350 bird species alongside monkeys sloths and crocodiles. The Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve home to 2.5% of global biodiversity provides regular sightings of quetzals toucans and howler monkeys. One TourRadar reviewer shared: "We saw countless species in Tortuguero including three different types of monkeys toucans and even baby sea turtles making their way to the ocean."
What are the advantages of visiting Costa Rica in November?
The benefits of a November visit include fewer tourists easier bookings at sought-after properties like Arenal Kioro and Monteverde Country Lodge and lower prices than peak season. A TourRadar traveler mentioned: "November was perfect - we got great deals on accommodations and enjoyed many activities without the crowds."
What kind of accommodation options are available in November?
Accommodations range from basic hostels to high-end resorts. As one TourRadar reviewer noted: "The accommodations were beautiful from rustic eco-lodges in Tortuguero to upscale resorts in Arenal."
What are the best activities to do in Costa Rica in November?
The month provides ideal conditions for rafting the Pacuare River hiking Arenal Volcano National Park and exploring Monteverde Cloud Forest.
