- Gary· May 25th, 2025Overall experience was great. The G-Adventures CEO did a great job leading the tour, coordinating activities, and keeping us informed, and arranging for transportation. The only real gripe was with some of the lodging establishments they provided. The hotel they used in San Jose was a rather substandard property.Show moreG Adventures commented on this reviewThanks so much for your open and honest feedback, Gary! We are glad to know you enjoyed your trip overall, but regret your concerns with accommodations. We have passed your comments on to the relevant teams for their review.Trip date: May 2025

- David· March 7th, 2025What an incredible experience! Our CEO Katherine was very knowledgeable, super friendly and a great communicator. I appreciated how hard she worked to ensure we had a great experience. All of the accommodations and transportation were more than adequate, and the included activities were fun and interesting, with lots of optional activities to keep us entertained. I would have loved to spend an extra day in each location, but otherwise I have absolutely no complaints!Show moreG Adventures commented on this reviewThank you so much for this wonderful feedback and beautiful photos, David! We are delighted to know you enjoyed your time with us in Costa Rica and hope to welcome you on another adventure in the near future!Trip date: February 2025
- GWGarry· February 16th, 2025This tour was a nice balance of getting transported around with a very knowledgeable guide, pared with events vs discretionary private time. As I told our guide, "I consider loitering to be an activity". A special mention of our guide Tavo. He was knowledgeable, personable, very well spoken; and was always on top of all of the business. He really made the trip for us.Show moreG Adventures commented on this reviewThank you so much for sharing your experience with us, Garry! It sounds like you had a wonderful time in Costa Rica. - XGXavier· January 11th, 2025Costa Rica Quest Tour description on TourRadar did not mention that a lot of activities included in the description cost extra money, each costing between $45 to $65. This was communicated only after booking the tour. Only one meal was included. The hotels used by this tour (G Adventures) were just okay, some of them subpar with small rooms and no WiFi in many rooms. The transportation arrangements were excellent. The best part was the local guide(CEO) who was extremely knowledgeable and flexible and made the experience quite enjoyable.Show moreG Adventures commented on this reviewThank you for your honest review, Xavier! We do note 'included' and 'optional' activities on our website, but if there are discrepancies, please reach out to our Customer Experience team so this can be rectified.Trip date: December 2024

- Yanhong· July 15th, 2024The scenery was very beautiful. The tour guide was very helpful and knowledgeable. The only concern was the hotel conditions. I heard rats running around behind walls in one hotel. Another had sweaty smell pillows and sheets. Seemed they were not changed between guests.Show moreG Adventures commented on this reviewThanks for the review Yanhong, I was glad to hear that you had a great time overall but I was sorry to read about the hotel conditions. We will pass this ffedback to our local operations team to look into.Trip date: July 2024

Asked on May 14th, 2025If we arrive a day early, can you still pick us up at the hotel and make arrangements for us to stay at that hotel?
- G AdventuresOperator•Written May 2025
Yes, these are additional services we can add for you. We can add a pre-night for you at the same hotel where the tour starts at as well as an arrival transfer. Once your booking is set up, we can quote the price for each of these.

Traveler•Written May 2025I just saw on the website it says that breakfast is free.
- G AdventuresOperator•Written May 2025
Not all accommodations might include a free breakfast. Any cost for breakfast at the accommodations you stay will be discussed by your CEO (tour leader) at the welcome meeting with the rest of the group. We do suggest to in general for this trip to allow USD385-500 per person for meals not included. Only 1 lunch is listed as included.

Asked on March 31st, 2025Can you please provide the hotel names for this tour for April 20-28?
- G AdventuresOperator•Written March 2025
the following are the usual hotels used for the Costa Rica Quest tour. Note that these are subject to change, and if there were to be a change of accommodation to a confirmed booking, we would notify you via email. Hotel El Sesteo in San José, Hotel Eco Arenal in La Fortuna, Hotel Historias Lodge in Monteverde, Hotel Le Priss in Quepos

Asked on March 31st, 2025Is there transportation from the Airport to a specific hotel upon arrival. Is there transportation back to the Hotel at the conclusion of the trip. Are there meeting times (orientation) upon arrival? Is there a central contact person upon arrival? Multiple rooms types (What does that mean)? Are prices varied? Does the trip vary depending upon the booked rate (Locations, guides, transport)?
- G AdventuresOperator•Written March 2025
Booked through us, a transfer is $40 USD per one-way. Yes, there is a welcome meeting on Day 1 of the tour which is usually hosted around 6:00pm at the start hotel. Upon check-in, the hotel front-desk staff can confirm this time and location. This tour only uses hotels for the accommodation style. The "multiple room types" I think you are referring to must be for the twin-double rooming formatting. When viewing the departures chart, the price per person is set for a solo traveller to roommate with another same sex solo traveller within the tour group. If you do not want to share with a roommate, you may add My Own Room to your booking for $719 USD. The tour locations and transportations will remain the same regardless of the departure date. The CEOs (tour leaders) are on a rotating basis so their scheduling and assignments change per departure date. Of course, as with the nature of travel, some itinerary flexibility must be allowed as anything can occur which could impact the plans for the tour itinerary. If there were to be any changes impacting your tour itinerary, we would notify you via email!

- G AdventuresOperator•Written March 2025
