To make it perfect, I would recommend adding an extra day in La Fortuna and including breakfast in all hotels. This would also allow time to include a visit to Poas volcano on the way from San Jose to La Fortuna. Our guide was fantastic, and Costa Rica itself was absolutely stunning. The only real gripe was with some of the lodging establishments they provided. The pre-bookable transfer service is for any time (even late at night). If you miss the welcome meeting the CEO/tour leader will leave you instructions at the front desk for what time to meet up the following morning and they can give you a short briefing at that time!

That could potentially work but you may need to leave earlier from Quposos then the rest of the group. There are a few shuttles and the tour leader could help with booking this but it would be an additional cost.

We recommend using a backpack for your convenience, or a medium-sized suitcase if you prefer. A daypack is also essential for carrying everyday items. Space is limited on transportation, so there is a limit of one main piece of luggage per person. You will be responsible for carrying and handling your own luggage.

Generally meals are not included in the trip price when there is a choice of eating options, to give you the maximum flexibility in deciding where, what and with whom to eat. It also gives you more budgeting flexibility, though generally food is cheap. Our groups tend to eat together to enable you to taste a larger variety of dishes and enjoy each other's company. There is no obligation to do this though. Your CEO will be able to suggest favourite restaurants during your trip. You should budget approx. USD10-15 for lunch and USD20-25 for dinner + drinks
