What people love about Costa Rica Tours in March
- Costa Rica Experience (8 destinations)
This was a wonderful trip. Great homestay gave insight into the culture. We had fabulous opportunities to see different landscapes and lots of native wildlife. Our guide was excellent being passionate about showing us his country I would highly recommend this trip. Pat and Michael from Australia
- Costa Rica Quest
The tour was well-organised for the transport and accommodation. Wifi worked better on the bus than in the hotels. There were a few included activities and then a vartiety of choices for the optional activities. I especially enjoyed the hot springs evening, white water rafting and ziplining in Monteverde. Manuel Antonio park was optional but is definitely a must see for the wildlife and the beaches/beach hikes. The guide was enthusiastic and had a lot of local knowledge which helped a lot, especially for where to eat and local transport. Only one meal was included for lunch on day 2, but most of the restaurant options were very affordable.
- Essential Costa Rica - Package with Manuel Antonio National Park
This trip was fantastic, it was a great mix of deep jungle (Tortuguero), a volcano (La Fortuna), cloud forest (Monteverde) and hot beach town (Manuel Antonio). Nothing could have been done better - things ran smoothly and we had no issues, with guided hikes in national parks at each destination. I was also impressed with the all the travelling we did each tour stopped at reasonable intervals for food and washrooms, much better than other tours I've been on. The travel through the mountains on rutted gravel roads isn't for the faint of stomach but is worth it for the view of the rolling hills and pastures that was a complete surprise. Not one for the high adrenaline options (zip lining, white water rafting, etc.) my favorite activities were the tree-top trekking at Selvatura Adventure Park and the Don Juan Coffee Tour. The trip is comprised of multiple mini-tours, for those of you expecting the same group for the full 10 days, this is not the case. We went with the standard room which was fine, very nice in San Jose and we loved the accommodations in La Foruna (Hotel Montichiairi). The rest were clean and fine, but not the most sound-proof for those of you who are light sleepers and therefore I suspect that the room upgrade may be worth considering. Overall, this tour was a fantastic way to see a number of different places in Costa Rica and would recommend it to anyone!
