  Gema was an absolutely incredible guide. she was obviously very knowledgeable and organized as a guide which made the logistics of the trip run smoothly, but her energy was what made the trip so incredible and memorable. she was so friendly and accepting and was excited to meet new people and include everyone in our activities. even with the locals and people that we were working with, it was so obvious that everyone loves her and being around her. she was able to make you feel comfortable immediately even though it was nerve wracking to do this trip alone with no idea what to expect in terms of relationships and connections with the other girls. she facilitated our connections in the beginning very well with ice breakers and just being an overall ball of good energy that you can relate and connect to very well. Gema was absolutely the reason that this trip was everything and more that i had hoped for when I booked this solo trip to Costa Rica.

  Costa Rica will forever be a cherished memory for me thanks to Gema. Gema has been absolutely amazing for this entire tour — It was my first experience of doing travel this way, and she made me feel so comfortable and welcomed from day one. No question was a silly one, and she provided activities for everyone. She’s been super engaging and active in getting everyone involved with the locals, and that’s made this experience all the more better. Without Gema, this experience would have been a disaster and I feel so honoured to have met and spent this time with her and every other girl on tour. Despite the insane sunburn, getting trapped in what can only be called a monsoon and being bitten alive, this trip will forever be cherished to me and each girl will be remembered far into the future.

  I had an unforgettable 10-day Costa Rica adventure with TruTravels and pur tourguide Gema! The itinerary was packed with amazing activities, stunning nature, and great vibes throughout. Our guide Gema was absolutely incredible—knowledgeable, fun, and genuinely cared about making the experience special for everyone. I couldn’t have asked for a better tour and guide, who also continued to support those who stayed in Costa Rica after the tour ended with any advice. Highly recommend!

  Gema is a complete legend. In the future, there will be poems written about her. She will be sung about in songs of joy. She will be knighted as a knight of the awesome tourguides. Her statue will be all over Costa Rica, and she will be elected president of the world one day and fix all problems.

  Gema is the absolute best! She's super organised, and made everyone feel welcome and at ease from minute one, and even before checking that we arrived safely the day before. She was always available and answered all questions with a friendly face and never with delay. She very quickly became more of a friend than a tour guide and has helped me with my Spanish a lot when she really just didn't need to. Her recommendations across the tour have been incredible and really added to the trip. She also has made great connections with drivers and locals across which just shows what a kind and great person she is. I could not recommend Gema enough as a tour guide (and simply great human!)

  What a wild and wonderful 10 days in Costa Rica - definitely a trip to remember that’s gone by too quick. Costa Rica is full of culture and Gema made sure we got to experience it all! Santa Teresa and the natural hot springs were the main highlights for me! Gema, you truly were a Gem - a great Travel Ninja, and an even better human! Thank you for all the knowledge you’ve shared - your energy is infectious and gave the group the courage to experience the most amazing moments! It’s been incredible! Food spots were 10/10! ❤️💎

  Gema was an amazing tour guide! She was super energetic and outgoing and always had a fun itinerary planned for us! She showed us around in Costa Rica and was really knowledgeable of the places and animals we got to see! She always chose delicious spots for food and always made sure we all had fun! Additionally I felt really safe and comfortable throughout the entire trip. She really made this a very memorable trip and we all became one big family in the end. This was a very unique experience and I would definitely go on another adventure with her!

  Had the best time with our group leaders Gema and Jose, they made us feel welcome from the first day and instantly felt comfortable. We experienced so much in such a short time and felt like a family. Gema made sure we were updated with everything in advance and was very accommodating. From the zip lining to seeing the incredible animals, it was an unforgettable experience and we were able to have free time to do the things we wanted to like horseback riding and the lost canyon which were amazing, thank yous so much will miss yous!!

  I had an amazing experience on my trip to Costa Rica, and a huge part of that was thanks to our guide, Gema! She was incredibly friendly, energetic, and always made us feel at ease. Her enthusiasm and positive attitude made the trip so much more enjoyable. Gema shared fascinating insights about the local culture and wildlife, and her genuine passion for the country was contagious. She went above and beyond to ensure we had a fun and memorable time.
