In other reviews, I noticed that some felt that there should have been more meals and excursions included in the price. I thought that the amount was fair. It allowed us time to choose excursions that were of interest to us and to eat what, when and with whom we wanted. I preferred the mix of flexibility and structure. Day 2 Tortuguero National Park: Travel by private transport to La Pavona, then by boat into Tortuguero. Included activity: Boat ride to Tortuguero. Day 3 Tortuguero National Park: Free day to explore canals, wildlife walks, or take optional turtle watching (seasonal). Included activity: National Park Entrance.
