If you're planning a trip to Japan, I highly recommend getting help from Phoebe at UME Travel! From our very first chat, she was incredibly friendly, thoughtful, and super efficient. She took care of the entire trip for me, so I barely had to worry about a thing. She's not only professional but also truly dependable. No matter what questions I had, she always responded quickly and clearly, making the whole process feel effortless. Thanks to her, my trip wasn’t just smooth—it was absolutely perfect! I’ll definitely be reaching out to Phoebe again for future trips in Asia. If you’re looking for someone who genuinely cares and you can fully trust, she's the one!

I filled in my dietary (gluten intolerance and vegetarian but eat fish) but they were not accompanied. The guides were not informed of my dietary needs or of the dietary needs of others in the group. I had to provide my own food when we went somewhere as a group. The guides tried their best to provide some food for me but it is hard because of the gluten intolerance, because they were not informed prior the trip it was hard for them to do anything about it. Paco and David did a great job and made the trip a trip to remember. They told us stories and informed us about everything that we both needed to know and what we wanted to know. The trip was really good. Big thanks to Paco and David

For family tours from Osaka, plan your trip in spring (March-May) or fall (October-November). The weather is just right then, with temperatures between 59-75°F (15-24°C), making it comfortable for walking around with kids. Late March to early April brings cherry blossoms, which is really special but also draws bigger crowds. One of our travelers put it well: "Spring was perfect for our family trip - not too hot for walking and the kids loved seeing the cherry blossoms at Osaka Castle and surrounding areas."

At Nara Park, kids get excited about feeding the friendly deer that roam freely. The lively Dotonbori district is great for trying local street food, and Kuromon Market lets kids see how Japanese food is prepared. If you need a place to stay, The Royal Park Hotel Iconic Osaka-Midosuji and Hotel Granvia Osaka work well for families and put you close to these attractions.
What are the most family-friendly attractions to visit in Osaka before starting the tour?
Before your tour kicks off, take your family to explore Osaka Castle Garden, walk through the bright lights of Dotonbori street with its amazing food stalls, and check out Kuromon Ichiba Market. For places to stay, both Hotel Hanshin Osaka and Star Gate Hotel Kansai are good picks for families and make it easy to get to these spots.
How do families typically travel between cities when starting from Osaka?
You'll move between cities on comfortable buses and Japan's famous bullet trains (Shinkansen). The train ride from Osaka to Kyoto is quick at 30 minutes, while getting to Tokyo takes about 2.5 hours on the bullet train. You'll walk about 2 to 4 hours each day at places like Fushimi Inari Shrine and Nara Park, but it's broken up with plenty of rest stops. You'll also use private transportation to get between cities.
