JAY was our personal guide in Osaka. He was knowledgeable, interesting and engaging. PANDA our bus tour guide in Kyoto was very thorough but would do better to have a flag as being short was easy to lose. Kana in Hiroshima was first rate and provided new electric cycles. Her tour was extensive and we learned much about the disastrous effects of atomic destruction. All paperwork (via email) was efficient and correct. Only one suggestion, full paperwork only arrived on-line six days in advance of the tour. Earlier receipt would have led to less last minute panic and uncertainty. The final open Shinkansen tickets you gave for return to Osaka were perfect and enabled us to extend our journey to Nagoya at an earlier time. They claim a guide is with us the entire tour and we only get hotel reservations and qr codes for trains (which I had to harass the agent over WhatsApp to obtain) and local tour guides. Nobody picks you up at your hotel. You have to figure out a random meetup point with the local tour guide. In addition, it took me months with them before the tour to coordinate a train ticket change and they got it wrong multiple times on top of misquoting fares and realizing I could have done it right myself in a matter of minutes. Do yourself a favor: book a real tour or book everything on your own. You'll get better customer service from yourself and better fares. People pay the additional premium for a tour to have a more relaxed experience all round. This company is extra work and you have to do everything as if you had booked it yourself and shoulder what the agents do in order to get it right. I'm a seasoned traveller having travelled to 47 countries on 5 continents. By far this was the most unprofessional and incompetent travel experience I've had with any tour operator. I was given the ridiculous excuse that Japan was a hot destination and they were overwhelmed with requests and that's why things took time, and guess what: I'm the only person on this tour ! The only positive: you do get nice hotels and decent guides (which you can get on your own for just cheaper and much faster). It was myself and my daughter travelling and all 4 hotels booked where double bed and not twin ! In addition one hotel in specific had an on suite with a glass door to shower room. Whilst i have nursed and changed her nappies at a young age it is not appropriate for a 20 year lady and her father. I was surprised at the hotel rooms booked.
