Deepa· October 30th, 2025Our tour guide fred was very jovial and fun to be around. Very fast paced tour and wish I could have spent a little more time in Kyoto.Show moreTrip date: October 2025- DNDaniel· October 30th, 2025This 8-night Japan tour was an amazing experience from start to finish! The itinerary covered all the highlights — Osaka, Kyoto, Nara, Mt. Fuji, and Tokyo — with just the right pace to enjoy each destination. The 3-star hotels were clean, comfortable, and perfectly located. Breakfast each morning was delicious and offered plenty of variety. Our tour guide Yoyo was outstanding — friendly, knowledgeable, and always willing to help. Everything was well organized, and the group had a great atmosphere. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to see the best of Japan in one unforgettable trip!Show moreTrip date: October 2025
- GGeorge· October 29th, 2025Do NOT use "Stunning Tours" to visit Japan This tour had many great things and a few bad things. Starting with the good. The itinerary was excellent. We saw so many amazing sites and experiences. Japan is a wonderful place. It felt rushed but that was a tradeoff for jamming so much into so few days. I wish I had more vacation days so I could have stayed longer. The hotels were nice. They were large compared to standard Japanese hotel rooms. The breakfast buffet each morning was high quality with a wide variety of food. The bus was very comfortable. The driver was good. We had plenty of room for us and our luggage. It was nice to relax on the bus between all of the sites we went to. The price of the tour was reasonable considering all the places we went, the hotels, the breakfast etc. The BAD. It was challenging to take a train with all of our luggage to and from the airport. There were 2 optional tours and some extra entrance fees at two sites that we had to pay for after arriving in Japan. In the tour instructions it explained that Hiroshima was extra and we would have to pay when we arrived. It is worth the money but we should have been able to prepay before leaving on our trip. The guide told us we could also do an optional Osaka Castle tour for $40. This was not in the tour instructions. It was worth the $40 but again it should have been included. The guide paid for the entrance to most sites but at two of them he said if you want to actually go in and see the site then go buy a ticket. It was just a few bucks but again it should have been included according to the tour instructions. The tour guide was horrible. He was nice and funny but that is the end of the good things. He kept leaving people behind. He would just do a quick glance and if he thought everyone was there he would just take off. He did not use his flag pole and he was hard to see. He walked very fast and it was hard to keep up. I think every single person in the group was left behind at least once. We had to band together and tell him that he was leaving someone again. The last few days he finally started counting heads He would tell us a meeting spot and time. Then he would change his mind and not tell everyone. We learned quickly not to trust his instructions. As a group we would all verify with each other where and when he actually wanted to meet. He did very little guiding. We would arrive at a new site and he would say that he wanted us to have personal time and to be flexible so go explore on your own and meet back in 30 minutes. I paid for a tour guide so that they could explain the history and significance of each place as we walked around as a tour group. He felt more like a chaperone than a tour guide. The HORRIBLE The very first night he asked us to pay for the Hiroshima Tour. I gave him my credit card. It did not work even though it had been working for a few days in Japan. He showed me his phone where it said in Japanese that it didn't work. I contacted my card and they said everything was fine. He ended up charging my card 4 times. I was paying for 6 people so it was $2000 each charge or $8000 total. It almost maxed out my card at the beginning of my trip. My credit card company immediately cancelled 2 of the payments as duplicates but two remained as pending. He said that he never got paid. I showed him my credit card app where it still showed two payments as pending. I ended up contacting my credit card company 4 times. They told me every time that it was something wrong with the Tour Company. The guide pestered me the whole week and asked me to pay in cash even though my credit card was already charged. At the end of the week, I paid cash and cancelled all of the credit card charges. It cost me a bunch extra in bank fees to use an ATM to withdraw so much cash. I highly recommend you visit Japan but don't use "Stunning Tours"Show more

- LWLawrence· October 21st, 2025I recently booked my father on the 8-night Japan tour with Stunning Tours, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. The itinerary was well organized, covering all the highlights of Japan — from Osaka and Kyoto to Mt. Fuji and Tokyo. The group size was just right, and the hotels were clean and comfortable. What truly stood out was the outstanding service from the tour guide, who went above and beyond to assist my father throughout the trip. She was patient, kind, and even personally accompanied him to a few meals to make sure he is well taken care of. That level of care and professionalism meant a lot to us. I highly recommend Stunning Tours to anyone looking for a well-planned, worry-free, and heartfelt Japan travel experience!Show moreTrip date: October 2025
Aubrey· October 21st, 2025We took the Japan 9 day tour. Overall I was satisfied with the tour, but there were some problems, most associated with our guide. Firstly I was very disappointed with the time she gave us to visit the Peace Park and museum in Hiroshima. I had made sure that I took a tour that gave us the option of visiting Hiroshima, as this was an important part of my desire to visit Japan. After spending far too long on the island in Hiroshima Bay, with not much to do, we got to the Peace Park at 3pm and were told to be back on the bus by 4.30pm. We were rushed through the park, and given 1 hour in the museum. It was a Sunday and the museum was extremely crowded, and the hour was barely enough time to glimpse some of the exhibits. As this was a very expensive optional tour, costing us $500 each, I felt "ripped off" and upset as our time was so limited. The itinerary in the brochure gave us an hour in the park and 1 1/2 hours in the museum! The guide brushed off my queries, and was not interested. The second issue was the visit to the Toyota Museum. This was mentioned in the brochure as the highlight of the day. When we got there it was closed! Apparently the Monday was a public holiday and so the museum was closed the following day. I feel a tour guide should be aware of such events and know that a major museum would be closed. She brushed this off a a "hitch", and instead we were taken to a Toyota showroom, where we could view new Toyota models! This was not a good substitute. Also twice during the tour we got emails from the Japan company Stunning Tours apologizing for errors of our guide. This is an indication of a serious problem. She charged us $60 each for a tour to the Golden Pavilion, the Bamboo Forest and the Togetsu Bashi Bridge. There was no tour, we were told to walk down to the bridge, and then up to the forest. The next day we were refunded the $60. A the end of the tour we were asked for $7-10 per day, per guest as a tip. This was presented as mandatory. Two people personally told me they gave less and were told it was not enough! Then came our second email from the company saying the tip was not compulsory! These events were upsetting. Our tour guide also seemed to have problems with time and distance. We would be told it was 10/15 minutes to the next destination, only for it to take over 45 minutes. And this was without traffic problems. Once she said it was 30 minutes to the next destination, but it took an one and a half hours. It was also disconcerting to find out only after we had booked out trip that we should fly into Haneda airport and not Narita airport. This information would have been better known earlier. Although much of the tour was as stated there were too many disappointments.Show more

The 8-night Japan tour was perfectly organized and covered all the highlights of Japan.
