Our driver Lee was great and got us to our destinations safely and I felt comfortable in the van we were in. I loved that our group was small with just 7 of us. The spots we visited are a must see. My favorites were the Toyota Museum, Nara deer park and the boat ride to view Mt Fuji. The optional tour to Hiroshima was sobering and I am glad I went. The first night hotel is confirmed at Star Gate Hotel Kansai. Frankly we don't have good rates on individual hotel bookings. I would recommend booking on Expedia.com or similar websites for cheaper rates.

This optional tour seems expensive because there are round trip bullet train tickets between Osaka and Hiroshima, hotel pickup, transportation between hotel and the train station, Hiroshima tour and Miyajima Island with English speaking tour guide all included. You don't have to decide on the optional tour now. You can let the tour guide know if you would like to do it or now in Japan. Credit cards(visa/mastercard) are accepted. It's also totally fine to tour the surrounding area on your own on that day.
