- EPElizabeth Maria· May 8th, 2025The guide for this tour set a pace that made every stop feel rushed and majority of the tour attendees were more elderly and required a slower walking pace, however the tour leader walked at a pace which was too fast. While at destinations the tour leader did not provide any information about each place or provide us enough time to even see each place property. In some instances it would have been better to reduce the itinerary down and actually spend more quality time at places, so we did not feel rushed. The tour leader in some instances was racist and also making of fun of peoples race or abilities, even though it may have been jokingly, it was nonetheless offensive. To the top it off the tour leader then aggressively kept suggesting that everybody should provide a tip of $150 US which seemed heavy handed even though tour material advised that tip is not required or is optional.Show more

We don't have private transfers available. But the first night hotel is just one station away by train from the airport and we send you detailed instructions prior to the departure date. And there are usual shuttle to the airport from the last hotel.

Not really. The guests need to get from the airport to the hotel on the first day. But the tour guide and tour bus will pick them up throughout the tour from Day 2 until the last day when they get to the airport on their own.

Yes the Stunning Japan itinerary is better. The highlight of Shirakawago on the itinerary is an UNESCO world heritage site and very famous in Japan. And Nagoya and the Toyota museum isn't that appealing in the original Splendid Japan itinerary.
