The itinerary covered all the must-see places — from the lively streets of Osaka, the historic temples of Kyoto and Nara, to the breathtaking views of Mt. Fuji and the energy of Tokyo. Our group of 18 guests was the perfect size — small enough to get to know everyone, yet large enough to keep things lively and fun. The 3-star hotels were clean, comfortable, and conveniently located near restaurants and train stations, which made evenings easy and enjoyable. Our tour guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and organized, making sure everyone felt included and well taken care of. The pace was full but balanced, and we never felt rushed. Overall, it was a well-planned, great-value tour that gave us a real taste of Japan’s beauty, culture, and hospitality. As with any tour, one expects busy days, as tour guides pack the maximum of visits, and this tour was fairly busy too. We appreciate that this allowed us to see quite bit, however sometimes the planning wasn't really there, for example, if we are to visit fish market in Tokyo, it would be nice during lunch time, so we could actually sample the incredible seafood cuisine there (the morning time wasn't well chosen), the same with the quaint Villages we visited, with little nice restaurants, would be nice if this will be lunch or dinner time, and time to seat, try the cuisine and soak in the ambiance. We were brought to 2 villages, maybe visit of just one, with the nice lunch time would be more interesting. This was the adults tour, and rushing through everything, with little time to enjoy was it negative side. I would point also that there wasn't organized and offer any show, like Geisha show, or other cultural show as an additional attraction. But accommodations were generally fair, and offered. lavish breakfast at times. At the end of the tour there was some misunderstanding about tiping. The max we can put in a room is 2. so we will arrange two rooms for you. Our rates aren't good for individual hotel bookings. I would recommend booking directly with the hotel or on Expedia or similar sites. The first night hotel is Star Gate Kansai. While we can't buy the bullet train tickets for you, I can send you guidance. Sorry we don't have the first hand information on the ticket prices for the theme parks. The group will be transferred by private tour bus during the tour. Tips are not included but not mandatory either. You may leave the group for a particular day and come back to the group on time.

We don't have it during our tour. But many guests stay one or two days after the tour and do the mario Carts or Tokyo Disneyland on their own. They purchase the day tours at Viator or similar websites.

Yes I believe you will have enough time to visit the bamboo forest when you are in Osaka or visiting Kyoto. If you plan to visit more places, you may also consider arriving in Osaka one or two days early to explore the area.
