What people love about Iceland Tours from Reykjavik
- Best of Iceland
This tour fully met my expectations. Biggy, the tour guide did a very commendable job. Nothing was too much trouble for him to manage. The small group meant any problems were minimal anyway. The group gelled and everybody got on well. The scenery and places we were taken to were just great. The mix of accommodation styles were fine. I really enjoyed Iceland and would recommend the G Adventure style of travel to anybody of reasonable fitness and health.
- 8 Day - Iceland Northern Lights Tour
Our tour guide, Alvero, was excellent. Although not a native of Iceland he obviously loved his new country as he was very knowledgeable about Iceland. You are completely on your own in getting to and from the airport, and our Reykavik hotel (Reykavik Lights Hotel Natura) was in the middle of nowhere - no restaruants, entertainment, shopping, etc - just a small airport.. The hotel itself was good. The rooms were OK and the staff was helpful and friendly.. We accumulated over $200 dollars in cab expenses just to get to and from our hotel and the places we needed to be. The tour itself, although packed, was very good. We saw all of the places that Icelenad is known for. The weather even cooperated - no rain until the last day of our trip.
- 7 Day - Complete Iceland
The tour was great, with great people. The USB charging onboard the bus was amazing and well appreciated. Our tour guide Alvero was great, but wasn't really one to talk about the history of Iceland or really explain what things were, so I don't feel like I actually learned much about Iceland while I was there. the accommodations were mostly quite terrible. The bathrooms were terrible, and no real choices for meal selection, pretty much a vegetarian dish of some sorts, a lamb dish, and that's it. The hotel on the 6th night was disgusting and rude, and if pickup hadn't been there the next morning I would've found a new hotel. Our guide for the 7th day of the tour was amazing (I'm sorry but I forget his name, older Icelandic gentleman, white hair, heavy accent, blue eyes, super nice) as he was right into history and making sure we all knew the sights we were looking at and their importance. Kind of wish I had him for my whole tour. Alvero was a lot of fun and I really enjoyed my time, but I was disappointed in not really learning much.
