- AVAnton· August 21st, 2025TL;DR: Great tour, not the greatest guide. I like how intense was the tour, the diversity of things we saw. And people on the tour were amazing. But the guide... It wasn't horrible but I don't want to have another tour with him. While being knowledgable Thomas was easily irritated by questions (so on the third day I started preferring asking chatgpt instead of him). Also his English is not so great, a lot of information was hard to decipher. And instead of assuming that he misunderstood what you're saying he jumps into thinking that you're dumb.Show moreTrip date: August 2025
noel· May 7th, 2025Aron, our guide, was excellent. Any issues, such as broken buses, resolved quickly. Great sense of humour and very knowledgeable. Loved the itinerary. Amazing experiences.Show moreTrip date: April 2025- JWJohanna· December 28th, 2024Automatic translation available in English. View in EnglishIt's a 6-day tour with two overnight stays, nothing more and nothing less. It's actually cheeky to ask for more over the Christmas period than during the year, as you can't see much with four hours of daylight and a lot of things are closed over the holidays. The guide provided superficial information about Iceland and didn't answer any detailed questions. The ice cave was totally overcrowded and when I asked about scheduling and possible time slots, I was told "we Icelanders don't like rules". I would not book this trip again.Show more
Arctic Adventures commented on this reviewDear Johanna, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback about your experience on our 8-Day Iceland Ring Road Tour. We’re sorry to hear that the tour did not meet your expectations, and we appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns.... Show moreTrip date: December 2024 - RRachel· October 30th, 2024The trip was amazing I am a detailed planning kind of person so it was very hard to sit back and let someone else do the work and get little information back in return without having to ask a bunch of questions along the way. But overall I would do it again. It was spectacularShow moreTrip date: October 2024

John· September 5th, 2024We enjoyed a 6 Day RingTour. Our guide-Gunnar— was excellent. He provided great insights to our many tour stops. We visited waterfalls, went on a whale watch, glacier climb, horse farm and several hikes. We saw many spectacular vistas!Show moreTrip date: August 2024
Colin· August 28th, 2024Best tour I have done in years and I travel a lot. The places seen and the driver/guide was superb.Show moreTrip date: August 2024- MMMilton· August 25th, 2024It was rxcellent, but maybe a few too many waterfalls. Some were spectacular , but some only exciting if someone never saw one.Show moreTrip date: August 2024

- JMJOHN· June 9th, 2024We enjoyed our trip. The guide was knowledgeable and used this to his advantage as unforeseen weather conditions required quick adjustments to the itinerary. The biggest issue for us was the change to the itinerary after booking, so be aware that is a possibility for all. Some of the accommodation, especially those owned by Arctic Adventures, was simply unsuitable and unacceptable for a trip with this price tag. However, we appreciate their efforts to make our experience as positive as it could be, given the circumstances.Show moreTrip date: May 2024

Asked on September 7th, 2025Is it possible to book additional nights at the hotel used by the tour so as not to have to change hotels? Is this something you can organise? Or at what point are the hotels confirmed? What does moderate fitness level mean?
Arctic AdventuresOperator•Written September 2025Unfortunately, we only provide accommodation for the duration of the tour. You would have to book your pre and post-tour accommodation by yourself. We recommend booking one of the authorized pick-up location hotels. The 8-day Ring Road is more of a sight-seeing adventure. The tour is considered to be of easy difficulty level which means that the tour is suitable for all types of traveler. Moderate difficulty level means that the tour is suitable for those in good condition who are able to walk for about 4 hours at a low or moderate pace. Trails are generally of good quality and glacier travel at a relatively low angle.

Traveler•Written September 2025Is the day one hotel in Reykjavík included or is it the end of tour hotel in the city? If I was to book the Sunday to Sunday tour and arrive Saturday do I need to book both nights or is one part of the tour? And the same at the end, is there a night at a hotel in Reykavich included or should I book that separately?
Arctic AdventuresOperator•Written September 2025The 8-Day Iceland Ring Road Tour includes 7 nights of accommodation: your first night in Reykjavik, 5 nights during the tour around Iceland, and the final night back in Reykjavik. Your accommodation from October 5th to 12th is all taken care of as part of the tour. If you're arriving earlier than the 5th or staying later than the 12th, you'd just need to book those extra nights yourself.

Asked on July 31st, 2025do we get a private room or its a shared room to all the group?
Arctic AdventuresOperator•Written August 2025On our 8-day Ring Road, you will be accommodated in a twin or double (according to your preference) private room with private bathroom. We do not book shared rooms for the whole group for this adventure. However, if you would be traveling as a solo traveler, you would have to decide whether you want to have a single room and enjoy the privacy of your own, then you would have to add the single room supplement, or, of course, if you are fine with sharing your room with another traveler of the same genter, you could select a twin room and we would accommodate you in a twin room with another traveler.

What will be the average temperature there end June - early July in Fahrenheit please? 4. If I wanted to stay one extra nite on July 7th can you arrange the hotel? How much would it be? 5. Traveler•Written June 2025Also I am vegetarian- no eggs, no fish, no poultry. R there meal options?
Arctic AdventuresOperator•Written June 2025Some of the hotels may have the AC's and all of them have heaters. The average weather temperature in Iceland, during summer is 8°C to 14°C (46.4°F to 57.2°F). We do not provide additional services like accommodation (before or after the adventure) or airport transfers. If you decide to share your room with another traveler, you will be accommodated in a twin room with 2 separate beds. All of our rooms have private bathrooms. We do not arrange flights, that has to be done by the customers themselves. As we do not provide any food during the tour, you will have breakfasts at the hotels you will be staying during the tour. The breakfasts are served in a buffet style. Our guide will stop by gas stations, caffes or restaurants for lunch and at the end of each day, the guide will ask the whole group whether there's anyone who would like to join for dinner and book a table at the restaurants of the hotels you will be staying for the night. In all cases, you will be able to choose the most suitable foods for yourself.

Asked on January 6th, 2025Does this tour include seeing the northern lights? What are the odds of seeing the northern lights?
Arctic AdventuresOperator•Written January 2025While the tour does not include a specific time dedicated to northern lights hunting, the guides will monitor the aurora forecasts and let you know if the lights are visible during the trip. Since the tour takes you through more remote areas with minimal light pollution, you'll have a good chance to see the northern lights if the conditions are favorable.
