Asked on March 23rd, 2025Do you have the distances and elevation gain for each day? What are my options for renting a road or gravel bike with dropped handlebars XL 60cm? Is this tour a definite go or do you need a minimum number first?
- Eurocycle AdventuresOperator•Written March 2025
The tour is definitely going ahead and there are 9 of us so far. For the distances etc do you have Komoot? If so I can send you all the links for each day's route? if not I can send a pic of each day. I'll need to enquire about a gravel bike and get back to you. A road bike won't be appropriate for this tour … but gravel will be fine. It is possible to bring your own bike and we can deduct the cost of the hire from the price if that interests you also.

Traveler•Written March 2025I'm interested in a scenic tour - I love mountains, lakes, oceans. Is there a site that has images or videos of what to expect on this tour? In the pictures - I see panniers on the bikes? Are we carrying our own clothes and essentials on the tour?
- Eurocycle AdventuresOperator•Written March 2025
In terms of luggage. Yes we carry our clothes in panniers, similar to bike packing but you get two 12 litre panniers on each side. You can bring a bigger bag which can be transported to the rest day point in Villach and the end in Grado or Pula (there are two options for this tour Salzburg to Grado or Salzburg to Pula).

Traveler•Written March 2025I'd be heading to the start on the 28th from Rome. I'm assuming that is possible via plane and air
- Eurocycle AdventuresOperator•Written March 2025
Travelling is pretty straightforward. There are direct flights from Rome to Munich (easyJet, Air Alitalia and Lufthansa). Then it's a 2 hour approx train journey from Munich airport to Salzburg.

Asked on September 26th, 2024Is the final night's accommodation in Pula included?
- Eurocycle AdventuresOperator•Written September 2024
The night in Pula is not included. Essentially the final night is in Rovinj and then we ride the final day into Pula. However this last year all participants did stay in pula and we all had dinner together. We can advise on accommodation in Pula.

Traveler•Written September 2024Which are the most convenient airports to fly in + out of? I believe you can offer a transfer to Trieste?
- Eurocycle AdventuresOperator•Written September 2024
The best airport to fly into is Klagenfurt (45mins) or Ljubljana 1.5hours) in slovenia. You can also get a direct train from Venice, Salzburg and Vienna which are further away (3-4hours). The best airport to fly out of is Pula but Rijeka and Trieste (2.5 hours) are also good options. Venice is a bit further a field.
