- Marianna· September 13th, 2025The 6 day tour is great. The 8 can be touring... Specially for senior tourist I would recommend the 6 days and then see if you like to do the day trips before or after. We did relaxed before and after at blue lagoon and then sky lagoon. It was great way to start and end the trip. BusTravel did a great job with itinerary, adapting to weather conditions, and guides. Enjoy Iceland!Show moreBusTravel Iceland commented on this reviewThank you for sharing your experience and helpful advice for future travelers. - RCRosaleen· August 7th, 2025For clarity, the 8 day trip is the 6 day trip with 2 single days tacked on. Four of the 15 people on the bus for the 6 day tour had purchased the 8 day tour. My recommendation is to book a 6 day tour to start, and then choose rather than be allocated 2 other day trips to ensure you get what interests you. Day 1 (of 8) at Snaefellsness peninsula was worthwhile but covered a lot of ground so we got back late (after 10pm) to the hotel provided as part of the tour to find it is unattended and we had to check in by phone to get entry codes. The rooms were noisy and hot and it was a half hour walk to central Reykjavik. We had no dinner. This would not have been a problem if we didn’t have a very early pick up the next day. The guide, Sigi, was excellent and provided a lot of interesting commentary about Iceland and life there. Breakfast provided at this hotel as part of the tour was available at 7am and we were picked up at 7am to go to Landmannalaugar so no breakfast either. The bus for this trip was old and not very comfortable and my seatbelt was not working properly so not really safe. We eventually got some lunch after the 5km hike from the 2 converted buses that were selling limited items. The roads are terrible and it is a long way. I don’t recommend this trip. The bus for the 6 day trip was very comfortable. There is an element of luck of the draw as to when you get picked up and we 4 were last. Inevitably we were at the back of the bus and places stuck throughout. Our guide, Thor was very good and the itinerary overall is very good too.Show moreBusTravel Iceland commented on this reviewThank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback – we truly appreciate it. - AKAaron· July 18th, 2025This isn’t really an 8-day tour — it’s a 6-day tour bundled with 2 separate day tours (so more like 6+1+1). That’s not made clear when booking, and it leads to some avoidable issues. The website does mention that the itinerary order may vary depending on your start day — but that sounds like a logistical routing detail, not a warning that you're being placed on three different tours. The 6-day portion was fantastic: amazing scenery, friendly guides, and comfortable accommodation. Some stops felt longer than needed (like a 30-minute gas station break where the driver washed the bus), and others felt rushed — but overall, a solid experience. After day 6, though, things became frustrating. The tour ended around 2pm, but I wasn’t told the next hotel was self check-in only, from 3pm, and required a pin code — which I never received. I had to call the hotel to get access. On day 8, the included breakfast couldn’t be used due to a 7am pickup. Initially the company dismissed this and after i pushed the issue further, they provided a small refund. The most awkward moment came on day 8 when the driver was clearly annoyed I had luggage. I explained I was on an 8-day tour with the company, but he told me I should have contacted them. Even worse — the van had no luggage space, so we had to awkwardly lift my suitcase into the cabin and place it on a spare seat, in front of all the onlooking day tour guests. I was the only 8 day person there. If the van had been full, I don’t know what would have happened. It was very uncomfortable and embarrassing. My advice: Book the 6-day tour only — it’s great. But skip the full 8-day version. You’ll have a better time (and avoid confusion and awkward moments) by booking your own Reykjavik hotel and any extra day tours separately.Show moreBusTravel Iceland commented on this reviewThank you for your detailed and honest feedback. Traveler•Written June 2025I have tried these tours. But the problem is it does not give you an option for 10 person rental. And the hotels are hostels with shared bathrooms. That's the reason I contacted you.

Traveler•Written May 2025Is the first pick up on the day after arriving at Reykjavik?
- BusTravel IcelandOperator•Written May 2025
Dimensions of a 24" inch suitcase is approx 17.5" L*10.4" W*26" H.
- BusTravel IcelandOperator•Written May 2025
You are allowed to bring 1 suitcase and 1 backpack per person, if you can't fit the boots in those and you are not wearing them, you might have to store it on the floor by your seat.
- BusTravel IcelandOperator•Written May 2025
The first pick-up is on the starting day of the tour. It depends on when your flight arrives in Iceland, if you can start the tour on the same day or if you need to fly in a day before and stay one night in Reykjavik. If your flight arrives before 7 am, you should be able to start the tour on the same day, otherwise fly in day before and stay one night.

Traveler•Written May 2025As the journey finishes on day 8 with a pick up at 20.00-21-00 it would seem that there is no time to catch a flight later in that day. Again, does this mean we need to organise a flight for the following day, making an extra 2 days accommodation required?
- BusTravel IcelandOperator•Written May 2025
The drop-off of the tour on the last day, can vary depending on which day you start the tour. It's anywhere between 5 pm and 9 pm. We usually recommend staying one night in Reykjavik after the tour, if they can't find a flight around midnight.
