This was definitely a 5-star tour! Traveling through the east, west, south, and north felt like visiting four different countries in one trip. Our guide, Runar, was absolutely the best—so knowledgeable, kind, and attentive, always making sure we were safe and comfortable. His insights and stories took the experience to another level. We were so lucky to see the Aurora three nights in a row, along with whales, reindeer, seals, and the wonderful Icelandic horses. Every place we visited was incredible, and we had an awesome group to share it with. Highly recommend this tour—especially with Runar as your guide!

Had a thoroughly enjoyable 6 day trip around Iceland. We saw so much including the popular Golden Circle but also had a chance to explore the less visited, quieter other side of the country. Our tour guide Thor was excellent, sharing his passion for his country, adding personal knowledge and interest to the tour and then continuing to be available in the evenings to share a meal and provide updates on Aurora sightings. The accommodation was all of good quality, the breakfasts were excellent and the bus new and clean.

    • BusTravel IcelandOperatorWritten June 2025

Many of the hotels we use during our multi-day tours are situated in remote locations that are far away from light pollution, making them ideal for Northern Lights sightings. If the weather conditions are favorable, there's a high likelihood of seeing the enchanting display of the dancing Northern Lights during your tour with us. Most hotels also provide a Northern Lights wake-up call upon request at the frontdesk when the lights are observed. Please keep in mind that the Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon, and we cannot guarantee their appearance, the best chances of seeing them occur between September and March when the skies are dark and clear.

There are not bathrooms in the minibuses. There are toilettes available at almost all of the stops that we stop at, usually not more than an hour between access to toiletts.

What time does the tour begin on May 18? What time should I book the flight home on the last day of the tour? Is it possible to book a pre-tour night? What is the cost? Can I book an extra night in Reykjavik at the end of the tour? Are airport transfers included at the beginning and end of the tour?

The tour starts at 9 am on May 18th. It's possible to book pre- and post-night. The price for a Superior Double room at Hotel Cabin is 200 EUR per night. I recommend staying one night after the tour in Reykjavik, then you should be able to book the flight after. If you wish to fly in the same evening as the tour ends, then I would not recommend booking a flight before 9 pm. Airport transfers are not included, but it's easy to book them online or at the airport arrival terminal.
