Itinerary
- Day 1
Reykjavik - Golden Circle & South Coast
Your Icelandic adventure starts with a pick-up in Reykjavik, then you'll drive through the Golden Circle. At Þingvellir National Park, you'll walk through dramatic rift valleys and learn about Iceland's parliamentary history. The Geysir geothermal area comes next, where you can watch Strokkur geyser erupt every 10-15 minutes, followed by the iconic Gullfoss waterfall. After lunch at the waterfall site, head south to visit Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss waterfalls. The day ends at the striking black sand beach of Reynisfjara before you reach your hotel on the South Coast.

- Day 2
South Coast - Jökulsárlón
After breakfast at your hotel, head to the coastal village of Vík to see the Reynisdrangar sea stacks. You have the option to join the Katla Ice Cave tour (May-September) to explore blue ice formations beneath Mýrdalsj kull glacier, or enjoy free time in the area. Winter months offer the Crystal Ice Cave near Jökulsárlón instead. Following lunch in Vík, you'll drive to Fjádráarglúfur canyon, then continue to Jökulsárlón glacial lagoon with its massive floating icebergs. Diamond Beach is just a 5-minute walk away, where ice chunks create an interesting contrast on the black sand.

- Day 3
Höfn - East Iceland
You'll start with breakfast at your hotel before exploring remote East Iceland. Drive the scenic coastal roads at Hvalárskriðið and Þvottárskriðið to reach Djúpivogur, a charming fishing village with mountain views and the Eggs in Gleðivik outdoor artwork representing 34 local birds. From there, continue to Egilstaðir via the Öxi highland road in summer (with waterfalls) or coastal villages in winter. After lunch, venture to Borgarfjörður Eystri to see puffin colonies and explore the quaint village. Then relax at Vök Baths geothermal oasis on Lake Urriðavatn, or enjoy free time exploring Egilstaðir instead. Later, check into your hotel for the night.

- Day 4
Egilstaðir - Lake Mývatn - Akureyri
After breakfast, check out and head to the western side of Stuðlagil Canyon to see striking basalt columns and blue glacial river. You'll continue to Dettifoss, Europe's most powerful waterfall, and feel its raw power. Then move on to the Lake Mývatn area, starting with Námasgard geothermal area featuring bubbling mud pots and steaming vents. From there, explore the mystical lava field of Dimmuborgir with its eerie rock formations and dark lava pillars. Visit Skútustadagjúgar with its pseudocraters and panoramic views. Stop at Goðafoss Waterfall, famous for its beauty and historical significance, then check into your hotel in the Akureyri area to relax.

- Day 5
Akureyri - North Iceland
Start with breakfast before exploring Akureyri, known as the Capital of the North. Head to the harbor for an optional whale watching tour. If you skip the whale watching, explore the town on your own, check out the main street, climb the stairs to the church, and visit the botanical gardens. After lunch in Akureyri, drive to Víðimýrkirkja, a historic turf church offering insights into Iceland's rural heritage. Continue to Hritserkur, a striking rock formation rising from the sea with mythical tales. Visit Kolugljúfur canyon with cascading waterfalls, then drive to your hotel in Laugarbakki to relax.

- Day 6
West Iceland - Reykjavik
Enjoy a final breakfast before heading to Grábok volcanic crater with views and unique geological features. Take a short walk to the rim for panoramic vistas. Continue to Hraunfossar, a series of cascading waterfalls flowing through lava fields creating an interesting contrast between vibrant blue water and dark volcanic rocks. Visit Sturlureykir, a traditional Icelandic horse farm where you can experience the charm and learn about the history of these unique horses. Stop at Deildartunguhver, Europe's most powerful hot spring, to see boiling water gushing from the ground. Break in Borgarnes before the final drive to Reykjavik, where you'll say goodbye to your guide and fellow travelers.
