- asmita· March 30th, 2025My husband and I recently cam back from this 8 days northern lights tour. This trip will always be very special for many reasons. Ronan was our tour guide and I hope next time we go to Iceland we get him as our tour guide again. He made sure everything went smooth everyday and told us many stories about Icelandic culture, history, politics. Highly recommend him. This itinerary was perfect our first and last day's northern hunting tour was cancelled because of the bad weather but we were lucky enough to see the lights twice during the tour and it was truly spectacular. Food is delicious (we are vegetarions) we got few options like burger, soup, cold sandwiches and roll but it was all good. We got the best group and guide which made this journey extra special. During the whale watching boat tour it took us almost 3 hours but we couldn't spot any whale but the tour operators didn't give up and we were at the sea for 1 extra hour and managed to get the glimpse of a whale and we are grateful for that opportunity. We interacted with Icelandic horses, cows and some dogs which we were not expecting. Locations of the hotel are exceptional. Overall a very memorable experience. Thank you TourRadar and Arctic adventure.Show moreTrip date: March 2025
- PKPin Hiang· December 30th, 2024Vignir was an excellent driver, he made our journey such safe n smooth one although the weather was very harsh with strong wind blowing.. He shared many life stories with us. We enjoyed the whole tour very much!Show moreTrip date: December 2024
- ELEUNGHOON· November 24th, 2024Everything was good except weather. Everyday was raining so two Northern Light Tours were cancelled.Show moreTrip date: November 2024
- ABAnne· November 19th, 2024This tour did not meet my expectations. The tour guide, Omar, was quite disappointing. He acted more like a bus driver than a guide, as he provided little explanation and simply directed us to locations, telling us to be back at the bus by a certain time. While on the bus, he often just sat there watching videos on his phone. Out of all the hotels, I only found the Wilderness Centre on Night 4 and the Hotel Berjaya Akureyri to be good or unique. The other accommodations were mediocre, and the breakfasts were disappointing. Additionally, I was not impressed with the communication from Arctic Adventures. Most companies send a detailed itinerary via email, including hotel pick-up times and other important details, but I had to request all of this information myself. Overall, I would not choose Arctic Adventures again.Show moreTrip date: November 2024
- EH· November 12th, 2024It was okay but rainy all days. So I could not watch Northern Lights. The Northern light tour by boat was cancelled on 3rd of November because of rain so I rescheduled the tour on 10th of November but that rescheduled tour also cancelled, The other Northern Lights tour by minibus on 9th of November was also cancelled due to raining. Arctic Adventure told me TOURRADAR will give me a full refund for the cancelled two Northern Lights Tours. Please let me know How I receive the refund.Show moreTrip date: November 2024
- CLChristopher· October 26th, 2024This was a trip of a lifetime! Iceland is a country that for sure we will come back to. Our tour guide Þröstur possessed a wealth of knowledge about the country and its history, captivating us with fantastic stories that kept us wide awake during our drives. No one wanted to nap for fear of missing out on a wonderful tale. He was friendly and went out of his way to ensure our happiness, making this trip even better.Show moreTrip date: September 2023
- LWLisa· October 14th, 2024The trip was amazing and Al, our guide was excellent! Most of the accommodations were fine, however one place was a little sketchy, but since we only spent one night at each place it wasn't that big of a deal.Show moreTrip date: September 2024
- TTatjana· October 6th, 2024The tour was really good. We saw many interesting sights every day (waterfalls, geysiers etc.) Guide Matej was the best guide ever. Always helpful and very knowledgeable.Show moreTrip date: September 2024

Asked on June 23rd, 2025I just booked my trip and would like to depart Iceland on September 12 instead of September 11. Can I stay an additional night at whatever hotel we will be in on the last night?
- Arctic AdventuresOperator•Written June 2025
You're welcome to extend your stay at the hotel for an additional night; however, please note that you'll need to arrange this booking directly with the hotel, as accommodation outside the official tour dates is not provided by us.

Asked on May 31st, 2025Can you please confirm what time we need to arrive on day 1, and what time we leave on day 8 so I can arrange flights, also I can't see anything confirming airport transfers or is that for us to arrange
- Arctic AdventuresOperator•Written May 2025
The first day of your tour is planned for the exploration of Reykjavik. Your hotel check-in starts at 14.00, but you are free to arrive at any time. We do recommend arriving no later than the afternoon, as in the evening you will be going on a Northern Lights by boat tour. The tour itself starts at 22.00, but you will need to arrive at the departure point at least 30 minutes before. So please allow yourself enough time to enjoy our beautiful capital. The last day will be spent in Reykjavik as well. So you can plan your travel depending on how many things you wish to see and do around the city. None of our tours include airport transfers. We offer some group and private options, so if you wish, we can arrange it for you.

Traveler•Written June 2025We would like to organise airport transfers for 2 adults and a 15 and 11yr old child for this tour, also my wife is still awaiting a reply on the spiked hiking slip ons as to weather these are included in the tour
- Arctic AdventuresOperator•Written June 2025
We do not provide additional services like accommodation or airport transfers. Regarding the crampons - it is an optional extra that the customers can purchase via us. However, on our glacier hike or ice cave adventures we do provide them free of charge. If you want to purchase the crampons from us, we can add them to your booking and the guide will bring them to you on the day of the tour. The price for our crampons is 4900 ISK per pair.
- Arctic AdventuresOperator•Written June 2025
Airport transfers are not included in group tours, however, if you are looking for a private tour, you can add them to the booking. However the price for a private tour starts from 300 000 ISK per day.

Myvatn Nature baths cost 7400 ISK per person. Crampons can be purchased for 4900 ISK per pair. Simple crampons are available to keep, but specialized glacier hiking crampons will be provided during the tour. Asked on February 28th, 2025How many nights will we be able to go chasing lights? I see in the tour brochure that there is only one night (the last night) set aside for the lights -- I am concerned that if for any reason we can't see the lights (e.g. the weather is not good) there will be no opportunity to try again.
- Arctic AdventuresOperator•Written March 2025
On this tour, you have a chance to see the Northern Lights by Boat on your first day in Reykjavik. Also on day 7, you have a magical auroras tour. Most of the hotels we use during our tours are remotely located and therefore ideal for spotting the northern lights. If the forecast is in your favor, then it is more than likely that you will be able to see the magical show put on by the dancing northern lights during your tour with us. Most of the hotels offer a Northern Lights wake-up call-up on request if the lights are spotted. Also if Northern lights are not seen on the magical Auroras tour you can reschedule for up to 3 years until you manage to see them.

Traveler•Written March 2025What time does the northern lights boat tour depart on the first evening?

Traveler•Written March 2025Could you please also let me know what amenities/toiletries are provided or not provided in the accommodations we will stay in so I know what to pack?
- Arctic AdventuresOperator•Written March 2025
Regarding the accommodations, amenities can vary depending on the specific hotel or guesthouse used for the tour. In general, rooms include basic toiletries such as soap and shampoo, but we recommend bringing any personal items you may need, including toothpaste, conditioner, and any specific toiletries you prefer.

Asked on January 28th, 2025are there options if we cannot walk the distance? also are there other days with a lot of walking involved without breaks?
- T
Tiffany
Traveler•Written January 2025how much walking is involved? if we cannot do the glacier walking tour, is there another option while we wait for the tour to do the glacier walk?
- Arctic AdventuresOperator•Written January 2025
The glacier hike typically lasts around 2 hours and 30 minutes and does involve some walking over uneven terrain. If you decide not to join the glacier hike, you are welcome to explore the surrounding area or rest comfortably in the bus during that time. For other days of the tour, there will be walking involved, but we ensure there are regular breaks to make the experience enjoyable for all participants.
