- Wolfgang· September 12th, 2025Automatic translation available in English. View in EnglishOur guide Scott was very knowledgeable and always explained the entire trip with great emotion and passion. It was a very enjoyable trip overall. Scott not only took us to the well-known tourist destinations, but also to lesser-known places. The only thing that took some getting used to was when our English fellow travelers explained that they only partially understood Scott's explanations due to the heavy Glasgow-Scottish accent. However, understanding improved as the trip progressed. The accommodation was all very nice, we always slept well and had a good breakfast. All in all, a very successful trip.Show moreTrip date: September 2025
- CChristina· August 13th, 2025Only complaint was that the tour group members stayed overnight at different locations. This resulted in the days being longer due to the driver having to pick up and drop off everyone.Show moreHighland Experience Tours commented on this reviewHi Christina, Thank you for your feedback, and for joining us on the 4-day Isle of Skye and Jacobite Steam Train tour! - Ian· June 8th, 2025This was a delightful trip despite the frequent rain and constant wind. It was made delightful however due to the knowledge of the Highlands and the humour of our tour guide, Bobby (Robert Thomson). Bobby took great care of us, dropping us of at multiple points having given us a detailed analysis of the history of the area beforehand. He was always back to pick us up exactly as promised. Having an in-depth knowledge of the history and the area is one thing; being able to impart that knowledge in a highly entertaining manner is quite another. While the scenery was gorgeous, and the weather for the most part less than gorgeous, we were never left wondering how we could contend with the wind and rain due to Bobby's selection of the length of time we would spend at each drop off point. The historical connection to each place we visited, which Bobby gave us, as well as the geological significance, made every place so much more interesting than it might otherwise have been.Show moreHighland Experience Tours commented on this reviewHi Ian, Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience with us! - Mei· June 29th, 2023Eddie the driver is enthusiastic and helpful. Since we are going through the Scottish land, it didn’t matter if he didn’t pronounce accurately! He tried taking us to places. However, the size of the bus seem to have him turned away! Re the coming Orkney tour on 8th July, please confirm if the driver means 2pm at the waiting room of Inverness train station. Marked ‘waiting room’ in blue. I have to be at the train station by 5.45pm on 14 July latest to catch the night train to London on 6.45pmShow moreTrip date: June 2023

Asked on June 16th, 2025Looking into this tour and just want to ask about the significant price difference listed direct on your site for this tour versus on Tour Radar. Could you please let me know if the one listed direct on your site include the overnight accommodations? Or where else that price difference may be impacted?
- Highland Experience ToursOperator•Written June 2025
No, the prices listed at the first point of booking on our website do not include accommodation costs. These are selected later in the booking process and added to the tour-only fee. Tourradar, on the other hand, offers package prices only.

Asked on June 2nd, 2025Can you do 2 x persons 5 days ex Edinbough to Skye and back with start 15th Aug?
- Highland Experience ToursOperator•Written June 2025
Our 5-day Scottish Choice tour will depart on the 14th of August. This 5-day tour spends 2 nights on the Isle of Skye on night 2 and night 3, and shows you many of island's most amazing sites! I understand this is not your desired travel date, however, this is the only 5-day tour we have that visits the Isle of Skye departing close to your chosen travel date. The tour spends night 1 Oban and night 4 in Inverness.

Traveler•Written May 2025What time will I need to meet you at the starting point meeting? And what time is the ending point meeting?
- Highland Experience ToursOperator•Written May 2025
The tour begins at 8:30am on day one from 1 Parliament Square on Edinburgh's Royal Mile. The tour returns to Edinburgh at approximately 6:30pm on day 4. We recommend not booking travel for the day that you return from the tour and recommend staying in Edinburgh on the day that you return from the tour.

Asked on May 11th, 2025We were just wondering if there were any luggage restrictions on this trip. The two of us are planning to travel with a total of two standard size backpacks, one carryon size suitcase, and one checked bag sized suitcase.
- Highland Experience ToursOperator•Written May 2025
Regarding baggage, due to the size of our vehicles, on our multi-day tours, we guarantee to carry one piece of luggage per passenger of 55cm x 40cm x 20cm, with a maximum of 15 kg. This is equivalent to hand luggage allowed in an aircraft cabin, or one larger suitcase – up to a maximum of 20kg between two travellers. Due to the limited space available on our mini coaches, we are unable to guarantee that we would be able to carry larger suitcases than this. In addition to this one piece of stored luggage, you can also each bring one piece of carry-on luggage with you, which would usually be a small backpack to carry your essentials for the day.
