Itinerary
- Day 1
High Atlas Mountains to Dades Valley
You'll start early crossing the High Atlas Mountains through the scenic Tizi N'Tichka Pass, stopping in small Berber villages along the way to take photos and grab coffee. From there, you reach Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO site known for its earthen towers and winding alleyways. After lunch in Ouarzazate, the afternoon takes you through the Skoura Oasis where a local guide shows you around Kasbah Amridil. You'll drive through the Valley of the Roses before seeing the dramatic Dades Canyons. By evening you're settled at your lodge for dinner.

Dades Valley to Merzouga Desert
After breakfast you'll drive the Route of the Thousand Kasbahs, traveling through ancient fortresses and palm-filled valleys. In Tinghir oasis village, take a walk along the Todgha River leading to the Todgha Gorges, where red rock cliffs tower over 250 meters high. Following lunch near the gorge, you continue through Erfoud's date market and into Rissani, a sacred town in the region. The day ends with a camel ride across the rolling Erg Chebbi dunes at sunset, followed by Moroccan dinner and entertainment back at your desert camp.

Merzouga to Ouarzazate
You're waking before sunrise to watch the desert come alive with light, then having breakfast before heading out on a camel or jeep ride back toward Merzouga village. The route crosses volcanic plains along the Anti-Atlas Mountains' northeastern slopes, eventually reaching Nkob village at the Draa Valley entrance. From there you travel through landscapes filled with palm groves and countless earthen kasbahs, arriving in Agdz by mid-afternoon, an old caravan stop that once connected Marrakech and Timbuktu. You'll end the day in Ouarzazate with time to reflect on the diverse terrain and experiences you've seen.

Ouarzazate to Marrakech
Starting with a hearty breakfast, you'll head westward toward Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its earthen architecture and film appearances including Gladiator and Lawrence of Arabia. A guided walk takes you through the adobe alleys and fortified walls. Next comes Telouet Kasbah, built in the late 19th century by warlord El Glaoui as part of the old caravan route from Marrakech to the Sahara. You'll wind through High Atlas Mountain passes with panoramic views before descending into Marrakech, where your tour services end.
