What people love about Romania Tours from Bucharest
- In the footsteps of Count Dracula - Escorted tour
Was disappointed with meal at Bran Castle. Wine or beer was complementary but did not include a nonalcoholic option which is unfair. Driver was stingy with the air conditioning. He had it on but did not turn the fan on. Vans are always warmer in the back. Would have liked some free time to shop the markets at Bran. Maybe cut some of the time in Brasov so have an hour to spend at the Bran markets.
- Halloween in Transylvania 2025 | 8 day tour and Halloween party at Dracula Castle
Our tour guide Lorenz was very knowledgeable. He gave us a wealth of information. He was both personable and super helpful. He went out of his way to try to accommodate all of us. However, I was so disappointed that we di not receive our private tour of Bran Castle! That was our whole reason for spending time in Romania and Halloween in Transylvania. Julian from Rolandiia took it upon himself to book us to see a Bear Reserve instead! That should have been an optional tour for those who were interested as I was not. That took out over 3 hours which left us no time to tour the castle or walk around the town. Time management needs to be addressed. Too much is packed into a day and there was entirely too much time on the bus. We would get into a town at 6 pm and leave the next day at 9 am! If Julian was there to take photos for his company. He should have adhered to our original schedule and not throw in extra outings to accommodate his agenda. Also, there is no need to visit the salt mines or the communist leaders home. There are many more beautiful sites in Romania. I am very disappointed that I lost out on our private tour of Bran Castle. The highlight of our trip was sacrificed without our input to see Bears.
- Private 5-Day Tour in Transylvania from Bucharest Hotel Pick-up and Drop off
Our tour guide was amazing! Bogdan always had great food recommendations and was very knowledgeable of the places we visited. If we asked a question he didn't know the answer to (while rare) he would talk to the locals to find the answer for us. Felt very safe traveling through Romania and it was great to see so many wonderful places. Since the day we started our tour, Peles Castle was closed, Bogdan rearranged some of our visits so we would be able to see it later in the trip. The castle was truly gorgeous and created by talented craftsmen and it would have been a major disappointment to miss. The woodcarvings (and spiral staircase was to die for). And I'm so happy I was able to see them. Also Libearty Sanctuary was great.
