- FDFarimah· July 16th, 2024Magical five days mostly in Saxon Transylvania, visiting beautiful fortified churches, castles and driving through the summer countryside counting storks in the fields and on practically every chimney. The bear sanctuary in Zarnesti was one of the highlights, as was stunning Peles castle and the medieval town of Sighisoara. A bit intense as we had to pick up and drive each day, but our guide Bogdan was a true gem, patient, flexible, and wonderful company. Would have liked more time in nature but that would be a different tour entirely. Just note that entrance fees to the sights are not included and they add up but it's a pleasure donating to the restoration efforts.Show more
