- FDFarimah· July 16th, 2024Magical five days mostly in Saxon Transylvania, visiting beautiful fortified churches, castles and driving through the summer countryside counting storks in the fields and on practically every chimney. The bear sanctuary in Zarnesti was one of the highlights, as was stunning Peles castle and the medieval town of Sighisoara. A bit intense as we had to pick up and drive each day, but our guide Bogdan was a true gem, patient, flexible, and wonderful company. Would have liked more time in nature but that would be a different tour entirely. Just note that entrance fees to the sights are not included and they add up but it's a pleasure donating to the restoration efforts.Show more

- Stephanie· June 1st, 2022Our tour guide was amazing! Bogdan always had great food recommendations and was very knowledgeable of the places we visited. If we asked a question he didn't know the answer to (while rare) he would talk to the locals to find the answer for us. Felt very safe traveling through Romania and it was great to see so many wonderful places. Since the day we started our tour, Peles Castle was closed, Bogdan rearranged some of our visits so we would be able to see it later in the trip. The castle was truly gorgeous and created by talented craftsmen and it would have been a major disappointment to miss. The woodcarvings (and spiral staircase was to die for).
