The tour takes you to see so many ancient Egyptian temples that are anywhere from 2000 to 4000 years old, and many of them are extremely well preserved. The lodgings were clearly once extremely nice 10-20 years ago and are no longer 5-star in the classic sense, but for the price they are quite nice and clean. Egypt is an interesting country where I feel a tour is required for most people in order to not be overwhelmed (I ran into someone at the airport who did not take a tour and hated their experience), and this tour does a great job of taking care of everything for you and making sure you're prepared for what you're about to experience. Highly recommended.

We enjoyed our time in Egypt. We had a different tour guide for each location. All 3 tour guides (Ashraf, Mahmoud and Mark) were very friendly, spoke english and took very good care of us, showed us around and made sure we were comfortable and happy. The drivers they sent, spoke little to no english, which made it difficult if there was no guide with us. The hotels were comfortable and clean. However, they were old 5 Star hotels that could use a little maintenance. We did have an unfortunate incident in one of them and this was not fun. We came back to the hotel after the day tour and found our room open. Items were missing (not high value/price) and the Hotel insisted we had lost it during our trip and nothing had been taken (even though housekeeping had left the room open). This was not a good experience and we would never go back to that hotel, ever. The itinerary was very much what we wanted it to be. Got to see a lot of things and beautiful places. We got to see every location that had been offered. Unfortunately, we were never given the itinerary before the trip. In the itinerary, it said someone would meet us and explain the tour places, times and locations, but we were picked up from the Airport and dropped off at the hotel by ourselves. No one to meet us, help with check in or explain anything. so we never knew what hotel we were going to, the name of our guides or meeting point until a day before, if we asked. We were just dropped at every hotel reception and ask by ourselves if we had a reservation (except for 1 location where a tour guide came in with us and helped). This can make travelers feel insecure or uneasy since it's an entirely different country. Overall, we had fun. Enjoyed the sites, rested well in most places and had a good experience, but there are a few things to improve on.
This was my first visit to Egypt but it exceeded my expectation. We were welcomed warmly by all the people we met. Alaa the tour guide is very experienced, knowledgeable and fun. He knows all the stories and details about Egypt history. Highly recommended.
