  We never imagined the true beauty of Egypt, coming from Australia. It’s always seamed like the a mythical country so rich in history, culture and beauty.. Well we were blown away, and all we can say is it’s a must for if you don’t see it with your own eyes you can never truly experience or understand the richness of this truly beautiful amazing civilization- Right from the minute we landed in Egypt we were looked after and treated like family, we had an incredible experience with the guides and the tour company. In fact, the trip didn't go according to plan, and some of Itaca's choices meant that we had to catch planes at times that put us to bed late (2am) only to get up at 6am! I recommend taking a SIM for data (between €10 and €15). Guides: we had everything from excellent to mediocre. We had Sue Helen who was marvellous, with impeccable French, clear explanations and a great knowledge of her country and its history. We were able to ask all our questions, which were answered. What's more, she took very good care of our well-being. In short, it was perfect. As for the others, some shone through their kindness or their humor, but their French was approximate and I wonder about their knowledge for some ... so there rather 2 stars (except Sue Helen 5 stars). The hotels: 4-star Egyptian, so nothing to complain about in terms of service. I had asked for a one-night upgrade to a 5-star. It didn't happen, but Itaca refunded the money immediately. So 5 stars. The cruise: between 3 and 4 stars: great boat, friendly, welcoming staff. The big drawback was that the lock crossing to get to Luxor was poorly planned, so we lost our planned late-afternoon visit and had to do it the next day, so we had to run at a snail's pace! All in all, we have excellent memories of this trip, which was very competitive in terms of value for money, and we have no regrets. However, if you're looking for something a little more upmarket, you'll have to pass.

  We had an amazing time on our trip!!! It was easy to find the pick-up person at airport and he helped us with the visa and getting through customs. Eyad was our driver from the airport and explained our itinerary to us and made sure we got checked into our hotel okay. Eyad and Mahmoud were our primary point of contacts while traveling. (Make sure your phone works so you can receive texts.) Communication was very clear for each day on when pick up was and when our internal flights were. Mahmoud was great about checking in during to make sure everything was going well. Our private drivers/guides were always on time. We really loved our different tour guides, especially Peter. You have at least 1 guide in Cairo, 1 for Aswan area, 1 for Luxor so we tipped daily. Luxor area and Edfu Temple were the highlights of our trip. The itinerary was very organized and gave us plenty of time in each area. The cruise was also great and the views beautiful. Breakfast was every day and lunch was included on many day tours and the cruise. We did add-on the Abu Simbel, Alexandria, and Saqqara tour options when we booked, but were still given the opportunity to add-on hot air balloon, Temple of Philae light show, and Nubian village during the tour (no pressure). We could pay card for entrance fees to the museums/sites. Our only negative was the Cairo hotel as it was still going through construction so was a bit lacking though apparently comparable to others in the area. But considering it was a 2-star accommodation and the price we paid, it was fine. Other than that, we truly had an amazing time! I would highly recommend this company to others considering going to Egypt and wanting to see a variety of places. I did my research and for the price and itinerary this could not be beat. They handled the details so I could enjoy my trip! Thanks again for a wonderful time.

  Awesome trip in Egypt 🇪🇬 it was bit busy everyday to follow schedule. However I'm glad we were able to visit all the places we wanted to go. I appreciate travel agents and guide. Communication on WhatsApp with agents were very kindly and smooth, and driver was punctual on time. We didn’t need to worry about it. For guide, it was different guide for each of the places, especially Peter, who was guide from Aswan to Edfu, was awesome! His advice was helpful and thanks for his kindness. I would come back to Egypt again in the future!

  My family and I had an incredible experience during this tour. Our guide was Doaa and we enjoyed our time with him. He was thorough, knowledgeable and personable.
