Itinerary
- Day 1
Ubud
You'll arrive in Ubud, Bali's cultural center, with a welcome meeting scheduled for 6 pm. If you get there early, there's plenty to see - check out art galleries, museums, and shops stocked with woodwork and handicrafts. The night market is worth a walk through if you want to try some local food, or catch a traditional Kecak dance performance to get a feel for the place. After the meeting, you'll head to Gianyar night market with the group to sample Indonesian cuisine.

Landmarks/POIs Gianyar Night Market Ubud - Day 2
Ubud
Today brings white water rafting just outside Ubud on 11 km of river with Class 2 and 3 rapids. You'll see rainforest, gorges, and rice paddies from the water. Once you're done, there are clean towels and changing rooms available, and you'll have a hot shower before sitting down for a group buffet lunch. After heading back to Ubud, the afternoon and evening are free - your leader can point you toward good dinner spots if you need recommendations.

Ubud to Candidasa
Leave Ubud and cycle toward Mount Agung's foothills through winding trails, bamboo forests, and fruit orchards. The route passes through local villages and rice paddies, then mostly downhill on quiet country roads to White Beach, a popular spot for swimming and sunbathing. Lunch happens at local warungs (cafes) by the shore, then you'll transfer to your guesthouse for a 2-night stay in this area.

Candidasa
Head to the Amlapura region for a trekking day through Budakeling, a Buddhist Brahmana village, and cacao plantations. You'll walk to Bedandem village and visit a local silversmith, then continue to Gumung where rice terraces give views of Mount Agung. There's a chance to help with the rice harvest if you're interested. The trek ends at Tirta Ganga water palace where lunch is served and you can explore the grounds. If you want to cool off afterward, there are water pools on the property.

Candidasa to Amed
Take a minivan to Pura Luhur and climb over 1700 paved steps to Lempuyang Temple this morning. Seven temples sit at this sacred site, and you'll get views of Mount Agung, Bali's highest peak, plus you might spot long-tailed macaques. After exploring, you'll drive to black sand beach accommodation and finish the day with a swim in the ocean.

Amed
You have a free day in Amed, a remote coastal area. Spend it however you like - walk along the shore, try some yoga, or just enjoy the quiet. The shoreline is rocky, but the clear waters are ideal for snorkelling and diving. If you're keen on exploring the US Liberty wreck, let your leader know and arrangements can be made.

Landmarks/POIs Amed Beach US Liberty Wreck - Day 7
Amed to Senaru
Take a fast boat to Senggigi in Lombok and get a guided tour of the local Sasak village to learn about the people living on Mount Rinjani's slopes. Your guide is part of a female guiding association that supports women in tourism. You'll hear about local traditions and beliefs around the active volcano. Later, meet tomorrow's trekking guide to go over safety and waste management. Pack your overnight bag for the morning trek, then relax with a drink.

Mount Rinjani Trek
Start your full-day Mount Rinjani trek around 7 am on solid dirt paths, rock, gravel, and grass with plenty of rest stops. Watch for long-tail monkeys and exotic butterflies as you hike through shady forest and open grassland. The final section gets steep with gravel and dirt leading to the campsite just below the crater's rim at 2600m. If it's clear in the evening, you'll see across Bali, the Gili Islands, and Mount Agung.

Mount Rinjani to Senaru
Wake early to watch the sunrise from your high vantage point. After breakfast at 7 am, begin the descent back to Senaru. The return route offers a different perspective on the changing landscape, and you might see honeyeaters or cockatoos in the dense forest. Once you're back at your accommodation, the evening is free to rest and find a dinner spot.

Senaru to Gili Air
Transfer from Senaru to Telak Naru, then boat to Gili Air, one of three Gili Islands off Lombok's coast. White beaches, bamboo huts, and clear blue-green waters make up this area. Arrive and take time to rest or jump straight into the ocean for a swim. Keep the evening low-key and relaxed.

Gili Air
Go snorkelling around Gili Air's clear waters today. After getting fitted for equipment, board a motorised wooden boat and cruise the archipelago. Swim off the boat to see tropical fish and sea turtles at different stops around the islands. Tonight, consider joining a final group dinner to celebrate the trip.
