Itinerary
- Day 1
Ubud
You'll arrive in Ubud and have the afternoon to yourself. Wander through the traditional markets, grab coffee at a local café, or check out one of the yoga studios around town. At 6 pm you'll meet your group leader and fellow travelers for a welcome meeting. Afterward, you'll likely head out for a group dinner at a local restaurant to get everyone acquainted.

Landmarks/POIs Ubud - Day 2
Ubud
This morning starts with a guided walking tour through Ubud's villages and rice fields. You'll stop at a Balinese home to try traditional coffee and learn about local offerings. After that, you have free time to walk around central Ubud's cafes, galleries, and shops on your own. By evening, you'll see the Kecak dance performance, which is entirely driven by human chanting and creates a really unique atmosphere.

Landmarks/POIs Ubud Rice Fields Alang Alang Valley - Day 3
Ubud to Undisan
You'll bike through backstreets, villages, and rice fields on a relatively easy downhill route with several stops for photos and breaks. Along the way, you'll pass small intricately carved temples. After returning to Ubud, you'll have lunch before heading to Undisan, a peaceful village near Mt Agung. This part of Bali remains largely untouched by tourism.

Undisan to Sibetan
Start with a morning walk through Undisan's rice terraces, visiting local craftspeople and village temples. You'll have a traditional bungkus lunch in the fields. Then you travel to Sibetan Village where the village chief greets you before you settle into your homestay. The afternoon is free to explore the traditional village or rest. There's an optional cooking class if you're interested. For dinner, you'll try salak, a snake fruit prepared by the villagers.

Sibetan to Lake Batur
A guided walk takes you through an ancient Salak Plantation where you'll interact with locals and see heritage plants, including a white mango tree from the 16th century. You'll have Tipat Blayag (rice wrapped in young coconut leaves) for lunch. Later you drive along the crater rim road to a fishing village on Lake Batur's edge, with Mt Batur at 1717m towering nearby. You'll settle into accommodation positioned perfectly for tomorrow's early volcano climb.

Lake Batur to Lovina
Wake at 3 am for the guided hike to Mt Batur's summit to catch the sunrise. On clear mornings, you might see across the Lombok Strait to Mt Rinjani, though clouds sometimes block the view. After descending, there's an optional dip in hot springs with lake and caldera views. By afternoon you'll reach Lovina, a coastal town known for dolphins, good food, traditional massages, and yoga.

Lovina
You'll start with a morning at a traditional local market. Then head out for a full day snorkeling at Menjangan Island's coral reef in Bali Barat National Park. On the way back, you'll soak at Banjar Hot Springs, which locals love. In the afternoon, grab coffee at Global Kafe, a place whose profits support a foundation helping people with disabilities. The evening includes a visit to Ibu Wayan's where you'll learn about Balinese cooking before having a home-cooked meal.

Lovina to Sanur
You'll leave Lovina and head to Sanur, stopping at Gitgit Waterfall and Lake Bratan along the way. Once in Sanur, you'll have free time to walk the beachfront, watch fishermen in the shallows, or eat at beachside restaurants. You can also explore nearby ancient temples. At 6 pm there's a welcome meeting for new travelers joining the second half of the trip.

Sanur to Tetebatu
This is a travel day from Bali to Lombok. You'll take a minivan from Sanur to Padang Bai port, then ride a fast boat to Lombok. After arriving, you'll transfer by minibus to Tetebatu, a hillside retreat in central Lombok at the southern base of Mt Rinjani. You'll spend your first night on the island with spectacular mountain views.

Tetebatu
You'll spend the day immersed in daily life with the local Sasak people. A guided walk takes you through rice fields where farmers still use traditional water buffalo ploughs. You can try planting rice or ploughing yourself. Later you'll climb through clove and coffee plantations to a local warung for coffee tasting. Lunch happens in the rice field with traditional Sasak dishes. In the evening, you'll walk to the community hall where Gamelan musicians welcome you, visit a home industry making brown sugar and coconut oil, then have dinner with the community featuring local delicacies and music.

Tetebatu to Labuhan Pandan
You'll travel to Labuhan Pandan on Lombok's remote east coast, a less touristy but equally beautiful area. In Pringgasela village, you'll learn traditional weaving, a long-standing tradition and main income source for locals. After lunch with villagers, you continue to Masbagik, another Sasak village known for hand-made pottery. Here almost no men are involved, and female artisans will show you their pottery and teach you their craft. You'll stay overnight in bungalow accommodation on the peaceful east coast.

Labuhan Pandan
You'll take a boat out to a nearby coral reef for snorkeling. You'll stop at a secluded island for lunch with Mt Rinjani towering over Lombok in the background. In the evening, you'll have fresh seafood barbecued on the beach as the sun sets. This is island living at its best, so take time to soak it all in.

Landmarks/POIs Mt Rinjani - Day 13
Labuhan Pandan to Gili Air
You'll travel around the spiritual center of Labuan Pandan and Mt Rinjani, the sleeping giant of Lombok. You'll stop at a beach to break up the journey with mountain views, then visit a local cashew plantation. Continuing to Senaru, you'll walk past Sendang Gile Waterfall to Tiu Kelep Waterfall for a refreshing swim. Later you'll take a boat to Gili Air where you can relax and maybe walk along white beaches as the sun goes down.

Gili Air is yours to explore at your own pace. You can relax on the island or take another snorkeling trip if you want. If you're interested, catch a ferry to the other Gili islands, Gili Trawangan and Gili Meno, to see the different beaches. In the evening, there's an optional group dinner on the beachfront if you'd like to reminisce about the trip with others.

Gili Air
No activities are scheduled today. You're free to leave after checking out whenever you want. Your adventure doesn't have to end here though. If you'd like to stay longer on Gili Air, contact your booking agent beforehand to arrange extra accommodation.
