Absolutely incredible! It was a life experience I will never forget! Thomas (the man behind Do the North) was an absolute gent and had well kitted out for our adventure. Everything was incredibly well organised and went down according to plan. Everything else was completely left up to us which was great to have so much freedom in such a beautiful place! Will worth doing and will definitely be going back next chance I get!

Do The North is a trip we'll never forget. The scenery, the weather, the equipment, the organisation, the food; it was all perfect. Thomas and his team were so helpful from the first email to picking us up after the trip. Forget any worries you have about fitness, kayaking ability or surviving for 6 days... just do it!

The self-guided trip with Do the North was one of the best holidays that i have been on. The gear provided was of a very good quality and meant that we could enjoy the beautiful scenery without discomfort, despite one day of stormy weather. The support from Thomas was great and I would love to go again.

Is it possible to do the trip with 3 people with only a bit of camping experience?

    Accommodation
    Tour Details
    • Do the NorthOperatorWritten July 2024

It's totally fine to have just a bit of camping experience. We do a 3 hour briefing before you head out, and go through how to use all the kit, how to land the kayaks, how to find a good camp spot, navigation etc. We also give you our comprehensive guide book with points of interest.

      TravelerWritten July 2024

Would 3 1-person kayaks be an option as well? Is there an option to fish?

    • Do the NorthOperatorWritten July 2024

We have stable single kayaks for uneven groups, but there needs to be a double kayak in your group also. Our single kayaks can be quite unstable. A double kayak fits more food & gear, is easier to load, and is faster to paddle. We don't rent fishing equipment, but you can bring your own. You are likeliest to catch perch or pike.
