Later, you'll visit Gruyères for its cheese heritage and chocolate factories, including admission to Maison Cailler for tasting. Passing Chillon Castle, you'll finish the day in Leysin with views toward Mont Blanc and the Rhône Valley.

- Day 8
Rome
Your morning includes a three-hour guided tour mixing walking and a bus ride through Imperial Rome, passing the Arch of Constantine, Colosseum, Imperial Forums, Circus Maximus, and ending near Vatican City around 11:00 a.m. The afternoon is free to relax or explore on your own. By evening, you'll transfer to Trastevere for dinner at a cozy restaurant and return to your hotel around 8:30 p.m.

Rome to Florence
You'll head north from Rome through some nice countryside on your way to Florence. Once you arrive, start at Piazzale Michelangelo where you get those great views looking out over the whole city. From there, walk down into the historic center and grab lunch at one of the local spots. After eating, you'll join a guided walking tour that takes you through the main landmarks - Ponte Vecchio, the Duomo, and Piazza della Signoria are all on the route. Later you'll have some free time to wander around on your own before heading to dinner. There are several restaurant options in the district, so you can choose what sounds good to you.
