- Day 1
Kampala
You'll arrive in Kampala and start by wandering through the craft market to pick up some local goods. After that, it's time to head toward the Equator for some photos at this geographic marker. Later in the day, you'll make your way to the campsite beside Mburo National Park where you'll spend the night under the stars.

Mburo National Park
This entire day is dedicated to Mburo National Park. In the morning, you'll head out on a boat cruise along Kazinga Channel to watch hippos and water birds from the water. The afternoon brings game drives in 4x4s where you'll search for zebras, antelopes, and buffalo. If you're interested, there's an optional guided safari walk available to get a closer perspective on the landscape.

Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Start early for a trek into Kalinzu Forest to see chimpanzees in their natural habitat. After that experience, you'll travel to Kisoro and then head into Bwindi Impenetrable Forest for the main event, a mountain gorilla trek. Beyond gorillas, you've got several options available: a golden monkey trek, visit to a local orphanage, tour of a Batwa village, or a coffee tour. Lake Mutande is also worth a stop if time allows.

Kigali
You'll travel from your current location through Musanze before reaching Kigali. Once there, plan to visit the Genocide Museum and Memorial to learn about this significant part of Rwanda's history. Several optional activities are on offer including a trek to Dian Fossey's grave, a banana beer making session, or a basket weaving workshop if you want to engage with local crafts.

Lake Victoria - Bunda
The day starts with a visit to Rusomo Falls where you can see the natural power of the water. From there, you'll travel toward Mwanza to see Lake Victoria, one of Africa's largest lakes. You'll continue on to Bunda after that. An optional hill walk is available if you want to stretch your legs and get some views of the surrounding area.

Ngorongoro Crater - Arusha
You'll move through The Grumeti Reserve and into the Serengeti where guided game drives take you searching for lions, elephants, and wildebeest. Next, you'll visit Ngorongoro Crater and stop at a Maasai village to learn about their culture and traditions. By evening, you'll arrive in Arusha for a celebratory barbecue to mark the end of your journey. A hot air balloon safari option is available if you want an aerial perspective of the landscape.
