Asked on March 27th, 2025I understand that will be camping. And I'd like to know if I can charge my camera batteries while camping. One more thing: can they provide ventilation meals? I'm a vegetarian. I'll eat eggs and dairy foods.
Absolute AfricaOperator•Written March 2025It is possible to charge electronic equipment such as phones and camera batteries on the truck while it is moving (engine on). We have UK power points to use on the truck. Please note these do need to be shared among the group so we advise bringing an extra battery too if possible but it usually works quite well for everyone. You can sometimes too charge at the bar at campsites where available so bring an international travel adaptor as power points may vary throughout your trip. We can cater for a vegetarian diet. Please just note this when booking so we can let your tour leader know ahead of time.

We provide 3-man dome tents where 2 people sleep together. Camping is at established sites with wash/toilet facilities. For gluten-free requirements, we accommodate dietary needs as best possible. Breakfast will include fruit, eggs, and possibly gluten-free cereal. Dinners are typically stews, pastas, stir fries with salads and rice. We recommend bringing some packaged gluten-free items for variety. Tour leader helps with meal planning and shopping to ensure dietary needs are met.

We can take over 12 year olds on short safaris in Kenya only which is the 9 day Week in Kenya or 6 day Short Safari in Kenya. If you may be interested in either of these please do let me know.

We run camping tours only. This entails putting up and taking down the tent with every campsite and these are basic tents for which we provide a mattress but there are no beds inside, the mattress is put on the ground. There is the option to upgrade to a room at some of the campsites, but this is not possible everywhere so some nights camping is the only option. The upgrades cannot be prebooked so are subject to availability on arrival. There is not much walking required but you will need to put up and take down the tent at each campsite as well as be able to lift your luggage into the truck lockers
